Uh... Llama, you can't kill more than 1 warrior per lightning bolt hit. No matter that it inflicts D6 wounds, it still only hits one model. It's like a character with the fellblade, he can still kill no more than 4 foes a round, not 4D6.

Yup. But its a moral victory and the look on your opponent's face is priceless, even if you don't REALLY kill everything.

"Ok, 17 wounds!"
"WHAT?!??!!"
...And all this time I thought there was only one way to "retire" from the Council! What you call "retire", I call a "stay of execution"..whats in a word? DM Mik!

it isn't really fun if you don't dare unleash the lightning for fear of self destruct.

That is just not skaven ;)

Although, on one notable occasion, under RH rules where you had to unleash every turn, I had my doomwheel make the long trek diagonally across the table towards a dwarven castle formation, and taking pretty much the same approach as a unit of gutter runners. To ensure the runners survived the lightning I ensured a unit of giant rats was slightly closer to the DW. So there I am, spending several turns zapping my own troops whilst I roll across the table - then my opponent pops the DW with a S7 boltthrower which hit on 2s... which he could have done at any stage of the game! He just found it funnier to let it zap my troops, and perhaps even blow up, and then shoot it at the last minute :P

Bunny ear says flop

*grins*... Oh, how I have had arguments with my Skryre engineers for the horrible junk they've sold me. I had one doomwheel totally pin-cushioned by some eighty (dark elf) crossbow shots, where it totally not moved forward at all... It had spent a whole battle behind my own lines (I had take too much space with my O&G ally), after which some hapless sorcerer on flying horse descended behind my lines and got shot by the warplock pistol and fried by the warp-lightning. Off course, the doomwheel blew up... In another ocassion I had it racing forward, sliding around the corner where some bats were waiting. Since they could stop my course towards his black knights (my intended target), I targeted them and blew the doomwheel up... As part of a doomwheel scenario for mordheim, I once used it to race into a pack of night goblins and fry them. Consequently, the doomwheel blew up.

You know, I'm sensing a pattern here  :P
