G'Day everyone, I have decided to make a new character called Shadow Claw. He is an Eshin Assassin and is damn good at his job. If you would like to give feedback, feel free. Background: Shadow Claw excelled in his youngster hood in the art of stealth and silent kills. He is an Eshin Assassin and has plied his trade for four years. He often joins wandering warbands if it is to his advantage. He is a master of the shadows and is swift to kill. He has a thing for luck and it has a thing for him. Equipment: Shadow Claw has fighting claws, poisoned throwing stars, light armour and smoke bombs. Shadow Claw has the same stats as a normal assassin but with 1+M. Special Rules: Stealth: Shadow Claw is the master of the shadows and by representing this when he is within 1inch of terrain (buildings, walls, crates etc.) he is invisible. For an enemy model to identify Shadow Claw, the enemy must use his initiative value (3 for example) in inches (therefore 3inches). When the enemy model comes within that range, Shadow Claw is identified. Luck: When in close combat Shadow Claw is extremely lucky. By representing this, when in close combat Shadow Claw may re-roll one failed armour save. Instead of this you may re-roll one missed attack. Swift Kill: Shadow Claw uses his swiftness instead of his strength in close combat and this can gain him the upper hand. To represent this, in close combat when using his fighting claws he gains 1+ attack. Poisoned Throwing Stars: Normal Rules Apply (on the roll of a 6, instantly takes off a wound) This is just a quick character. I might add some more to his background. Comments appreciated! :ph43r: |

Sounds more like a Mordheim character..... But nice, however if he is hidden the stelth rule wont do any good (hidden or just still in the unit). Perhaps he counts in hard cover in any areas where there could be reasonably said there is shadows? |

Thanks for the replies guys. I pretty much based Shadow Claw for Mordheim or Warhammer Skirmish. I picked up the stealth rule from Warhammer Skirmish rule called "Hidden" and slightly altered it. I'm looking forward to using him. :ph43r: |

Nice! About the only thing I see slightly out of character is the Light Armor and the rerolling of a failed armor save. No other assassin has armor. Why not change it to something like Dodge? Just a thought. |

I like the idea of that dodge. Scratch the light armour. New Rule: Dodge: On the field, Shadow Claw uses his swiftness in stead of having to wear bulky armour. When in Close Combat, Shadow Claw gets a 5+ invulnrable save. When being shot at he gets a 4+ invulrable save. Thanks for the help guys! :ph43r: |

I'd make it a 5+ ward save across the board; I mean, Deathmaster has a 4+ Ward Save and I doubt there's an Assassin alive as fast as him. I think 5+ would be nice and fluffy. Otherwise, I really like him He's balanced and nice-nice rat. Good job!Mabus |
