Boohaa!! Screenshot 13# I wanna convert that!! It's soooo pwetty.... ![]() I gotta say that caption under the pic on page 2 is kinda funny. "The ratlike skaven are easy to tell apart from the other races." Yeah, erm.. on account of them having, y'know, rat heads? |

It honestly (apart from the siege mechanics *drools*) isn't going to remove Rome from my personal shrine of RTS worship as Rome just rules all and sundry (Imperial Glory is a GOOD rip off, but not that good) Especially with the new mods that are comming out (Reality and Warhammer both look good) Neat little Old Skool C&C style game though. I recon it'll be a lot like DOW (not much new, but fun to play) |

You have such fantastic taste! But BF2 is a bit too buggy for my taste so its SW:BF2 for me. Come on, BF2 with lightsabers anyone? ![]() Winter assault is going to murder my graphics card if the WD report is anything to go by but it looks great (2 campaigns at last and you play multiple races during both with a selection at the end! Shame SMs are only as Special character type mobs rather than squads but meh, can't have everything) |

I doubt it'll be much like C&C... it works like Rome, with a split stratigical and tactical maps, where you build units and stuff one the strategical map, and send them to fight on the tactical map. The difference being, it's not turn-based at all, so whilst you're fighting that tough battle on the tactical map, another army could well be sneaking up at your capitol. I'll have to see how that works out... but it sounds like an interesting change. Also, C&C didn't have armies up to a 1000 men in size... that sounds more like Rome. C&C wasn't regiment-based either, you just grabbed a ton of tanks and charged. Nor did it have fear mechanics and such. I don't know whether it'll beat rome in scope (though for some aspects I think Medieval was even better on that count) but it ought to give it a good run for it's money. |

"I have a post-Armageddon vision. We and all other large animals are gone. Rodents emerge as the ultimate post-human scavengers. They gnaw their way through New York, London and Tokyo... within 5 million years, a whole range of new species replace the ones we know. Herds of giant grazing rats are stalked by sabre-toothed predatory rats. Given enough time, will a species of intelligent, cultivated rats emerge?" Richard Dawkins, The Ancestor's Tale | |||
