Couple of rumors I've gotten from a play tester. Don't know if they've been posted, but here goes.

1. A new combat res modifier. Basically, if your frontage is large enough to have unengaged models on the front rank, then you get a +1 cr.

For GW...It's JUST PURELY BUSINESS...

i have to agree, the chances of it not changing are about....0

I have a question though what armies did not get upgraded with the last edition , ie did vampire counts get new models or will thay this time?

every army got at least some of their models redone and the rules were given a complete overhaul. Some of the armies have been out for years in 6th edition though, and others only months, because of the time it's taken to rewrite everything. You probably are thinking of 6th edition vampire models that are a couple years old, but they're still technically "new". meaning yes, they changed. a couple years ago when they redid vampire counts. dont expect newer models until 7th ed.

um thanx i think. i guess that is what i ment we both just kind said it a** backwards....but thanx. So their is a good chance in 7th ed that vamps will at least get some new stuff if not over hauled. Cuz right now the only models I remotly like are the skelies, zombies goules, and I guess the wraith, the rest are not too good imo.

I think the bat swarm should be more like a cloud of tiny bats that are all connected so you have a solid model. The vamps themselves really need some work ,I mean they could really kick some major a** if they wanted to (as far as how the models should look).

FEAR THE LEMMING!
Maybe they'll do the same thing with the chariot impact hits as with lances...I mean the weapon...it'd be nice to seem Bret armies tuned down a bit.
I like black text you like black text lalala! lalala! ..wow, I already lost the tune to that song..
Folks, I may return or I may vanish, but know..

you guys do understand that OVERRUN is when you wipe out EVERY model in the FIRST round of combat, which almost never happens so "having a unit move across the whole board in one turn" is very unlikely 7 chosen knights of khorne would only have 21 atacks so it would be IMPOSSIBLE for them to overrun a unit of 25 clanrats.

IIRC these "rumors" were just some guy on the GW boards ideas for what would be cool is in the 7th edition, not what is actually happenning.
Polymphus is too busy and/or lazy to update song of the week this week. Stay tuned!

if thats what overrun is... what do they call when you win combat by res and they fail their leadership test and you run em over and then carry on?

I'm not too fond of the whole power dice must be used by their own wizards thing. Look at it fluffwise: magic is unstable and like a force of nature, not controlled, but channeled by wizards. If a wizard can draw magic from the air around him or a rock of warpstone, and force it into a ball of fire, how hard is it to simply use his skills to change the flow of magic to direct it's power not in manifestations, but to flow into the hands of a fellow, so he/she/it may use it instead. It seems rudimentary skill for a wizard to change the currents of magic, if only temporarily, especially if they can also bend it to their will.

From a fluff perspective, it makes no sense, but I can understand how it does balance things gamewise.

that would be pursuing and getting them look in the BRB. pursuit and overrun are very different, overruns are pretty rare unless against very small, weak units. mostly because overrun ONLY onthe FIRST round of combat. (i have had to explain this alot almost everyone i know who plays warhammer gets them confused in one way or another ;) )
