I have a few questions: 1. When someone declares a charge against, and the crew is forced to flee, does it take the machine with them? 2. If the engineer is killed off from missile fire, can I still fire it? 3. Why, when there are six sides of the artillery die, does in seem that the misfire side always pops up about 1/2 the time? Thanks. |

1) The cannon counts as a chariot. i.e. it's a single model with a single stat line. The crew cannot leave it, they're not seperate from the cannon. You move the entire model only. So, yes. If you flee the cannon goes with the crew. 2) See above. Chariot. The cannon is a single model, and you cannot target the crew with missile fire. The statline applies to both cannon and crew. (so, the cannon is pretty hard to kill with missile fire. Which is a very good thing, given how easily it dies in close combat.) 3) Because the human mind is a treacherous and unreliable thing. You cannot trust to memory, it twists and turns the truth into what you expect or want it to be rather than what it is. If you wrote down all the rolls of the artillery dice over all your games, you'd notice it came up 1 in 6 times, or near enough as makes no difference. But you just remember the times it went wrong... either that, or Clan Skryre has delivered faulty goods in an insidious ploy to weaken your position. Take your pick. |

Just a note on the dice rolling thing... GAMING SUPERSTITIONS ARE REAL seriously... I dont know if its some sort of unknown psychic talent that humans have that can influence games of chance, or just some random dice god who knows what you really need, and doesnt give it to you... Im going crazy arent I... But I've found that when I'm saying "please not a one" or "anything but a one" or "if I don't get a misfire I will be able to take that evil thing down!" I ALWAYS get ones, or misfires, or really high rolls when seeing if I flee. *starts shivering uncontrollaby* no...not me...please...the ones! The terrible ones! They're watching me with those horrible, circular dots...

This is getting way off-topic. And the questions have been answered, so: thread assassinated. (heh, I get to rip-off Mik's sayings without fear of retributions now. And I always wanted to use that one.) |
