GW has 'expelled' them from 6th ed. warhammer and as such you can expect none of those Regiments of Renown units to be accepted for Chaos Dwarfs (perhaps I overlook some right now, but you'll get the point). Though, the 'normal' Dogs of War unit can IMHO still be used although the CD have no rare option giving them the possibility to take DoW. Greetz |

Slave Giants definitely fit in with CD... so why not ask your opponent if you can use them? I wouldn't object if asked. But why use DoW at all? I find it more interesting to use your army with its own strengths and weaknesses without coverups... |

DoW aren't just to cover your armies weaknesses. I like to have a unit that is different from what I normally field or is similar but with cool rules. I really like Mengil Manhide's Manflayers and I use duellists with pistols. Both of them are skirmishers which Skaven already have, but the Manflayer's rules rock, especially with an Eshin army. Pretty much the same thing with the duellists. I just like the pistols. Some people just like a little variety to what they collect and play with. |

Actually they did not ditch em all together. They have rules for them online (GW) and in teh past several months there has been at least one article that mentions them at least once, for example the Amazonian Preistess can be used in a CD army. Furthermore, apparently the CD's are in teh pike after 7th Ed. But untill then, you can use the Ravenging Hordes rules for em. MR |
