All I can say, is you sure have ambition. i mean, I sometimes sure could do with a break from painting rats. Yknow, after painting 50 clanrats it'll be nice to paint a bloodthirster or something and be able to really put in the effort coz you gonna complete 650 pts worth in one sitting. Would you feel that this would stretch out your attention and interest? Would it delay completing an army and end up with lots of incomplete projects? These are the problems with trying to juggle too many things in one go, but if you can do it, sure why not. |

Basically it comes down to A) commitment and B.) money. Do you have the commitment to keep up with multiple armies? It's an awful lot of work. Do you have the spare money? New armies ALWAYS cost an arm and a leg and ALWAYS work out to be more money than you plan them out to be. If you meet both of those criteria go nuts, more power to you. It can definately be done...I'm living proof of that as are many others here! ![]() Warhammer is like crack for geeks. We can't help buying more! |
||
...And all this time I thought there was only one way to "retire" from the Council! What you call "retire", I call a "stay of execution"..whats in a word? Daemon Armies are expensive, but if you do a good job on the conversions, they're well worth it I think, so go for it. @ Bassik: You gotta get your wife to post some pics of that army. She's already told me about it, and I wanna see it now!

I wouldn't recommend the daemonic version on the side... all the models are metal, so its expensive...

I have around 3000 points of KHORNE Daemons, and every mini is OOP (so you can guesstimate its value for yourself). A viable economic option is to use axe armed Gors as Bloodletters, and wolves (from the Gobbo cavalry box) as Flesh Hounds (painted red, with a black dry-brush). I have seen it done, and it can be highly effective - but you're on your own for a Bloodthirster and any Juggers! It's a good army - highly challenging! |

@vorg: OOP = Out Of Production @Snagrit: I'm guessing that the deamonic legion is all-deamon? If so, then good luck with it, I would love to field an all-deamon khornate army, and eventually, I probably will... and Llama, that is so true..... sooo true.... |

I am not here to be nice.

Mmm, I have been thinking about an Khorne deamon army for quite some time now, but it seems like it would cost too much for me to have an metal only army. Well good luck with that army mate! |

We are living on this world on rented time and now we can't pay the rent We have thrown out our garbage into the corridor and we have clogged the toilet We have annoyed the neighbors and we have pissed off the landlord We have stolen all the wares from the nature and we have poisoned our veins with greed We have powered our hearts with a false promise that we aren't so bad and we have told ourself that everything happens for reason We say that we will be forgiven and that all we do will ok when we die We do not deserve to be spared and we deserve to burn For the anquish we have caused this world We deserve to burn The Truth

A good friend of mine plays a Khornate Daemonic Legion. Excellent army. Very competitive and very scary. I'm in the process of finishing off a Nurgle Daemonic Legion myself. Enjoy!

By limiting yourself to one faction of Chaos you limit your models. Sure there are some cool models. You must ask yourself will you get tired of playing almost the same list everytime due to lack of variety? I find my Bretonnia army very boring after only a year of play. My Lizardmen are still fun to play after two years. Why? Because there seems to be more variety. Good luck either way. It is always nice to have a two or more armies. |
