More grey every day.

Grrr. This is my rant against the stinking stunty Gyrocopter. Nothing wrecks my day quite like a machines that can zoom 20" into my face and then blast me with a template weapon. Today I lost an entire unit of jezzails in turn 1 before they even got to shoot. No real point to this.... I just wanted to whine. |

Hehe, my first love was dwarfs, and I never left home without a copter in less than 1500 points. They are just too good, able to reck skirmishers, mass kill lightly armored units (Killed 10-12 clanrats a couple of times) and can march block. On Top of that, they have three wounds and are T 5 with a 4 up armor save, so you either have to cast magic at them or shoot them with handguns, because bows just ping off. Man I love my copter. |

Read the fluff, they invented it after the fall of many of the holds. Too much of their land had been run over by Skaven, Orcs and Goblins, and other foul creatures. They needed a safe and fast way to get information to each other. So of course some wacky engineer invented it, it wasn't until later that they attahed the steam gun to it. It was really built just for taking information to one hold to another, but was adapted for combat. |

On the other hand, Skaven had some during the storm of chaos... ratlingcopters if I'm not mistaking... ... hmmm... Could be usefull for invasions, but on the other hand, why go OVER a wall when you can go UNDER it? |

FEAR THE LEMMING!

You shouldn't be suprized at how effective warp lighting is on those little buggers. One game, he got first turn. Flew to the side of a CR unit because the front would have gotten him charged and probally destroyed, not sure what he was thinking. Engineer got in LoS-BAM! Dead misquito. |
