Back to retirement!

I love the dark illustrations in the Dark Elf army book, even though it wasnt the best thought out (having to re-do bits of it an' all...) but the imagery in that was what turned me to the dark(er) side...

Least favorite is the ogres, but that's just because I never liked them and never will.

I agree. Though some of it is amusing. But that drawing of the butcher is... well creepy... :unsure:

The best drawing of them all is, in my opinion, the dragon ogre shaggot in the beasts of chaos book, shouting a prayer to the thunderlord.
and like my husband, i hate the ogrekingdoms :angry:

this is what they need: ^Warpfire^

:o forgot about that one! that drawing made me seriously consider a beat army led by a shaggoth, but when I realised i didn't like the reast of the beastmen, that changed. still, a shaggoth with the mark of tzeentch... how beautiful will that be to behold *looks to the sky, sees a plane flying by*

cheers, Daionosis

Ya the ogre book is poo, it was poorly written, a ton of the rules could be misinterpreted, and GW did't seem like they really cared to fix 'um. And the illistrated ogres look like retarded whale-men or somethin'. That is the first book that I have actually liked the plastic models better than the concept art. GW should have made those guys into an allied contengent like kesliev (sp?).

ok,
<rant off>

Besides the SKAVEN cover, which of the Army books do you feel has the best cover illustration? Which book do you think is the best formatted & well written? Just curious....... :D

Skaven own everything off course, so they're indeed first choice...

I have to concur with Skaskrit that the Dwarfs armybook looks really nice, both in art and in fluff. Very nicely put together, and a complete voculabaire in it with all kinds of dwarfish words and their meaning. Made me laugh for hours!

its weird the HoC book isnt mentioned yet (or i skipped it and didnt read it :ph43r: ) i like that on ethe most.Its bigger and there are tons of super cool drawings... just look at the ones in the army selection pages on the sides they are fantastic!

as a third one i would have to say Brettonia cause it is so much in character
