Besides the SKAVEN cover, which of the Army books do you feel has the best cover illustration? Which book do you think is the best formatted & well written? Just curious....... :D

I'd but I vote down that BoC is one of the worst written ;p They didn't even go back and edit a few entries after first playtesting...

The illustrations in it are rather pretty tho...

I think Tomb Kings has the best cover illustration, and i think the Bretonnia and Vampire Counts books are well formatted and written.

For looks, I really like the Vampire counts. For the actual content with in it, after finally really reading the Ogre Kingdoms book, I would have to say that one. A lot of fluff in there, and a lot more colored pictures and good artwork than any of the other books.

By thats just my 2 cents.

I like the Lizardmen book, good art and great history. Lizardmen are a pretty cool race and the book is great. The Bretonian book is good too, I also like the Dwarf rule book, just for the history.

For cover art, I like the Dwarf army book best. (well, next to the Skaven one, of course.) I think I like the Orc book least... the Orc looks like he belongs in 40K or something.
"I have a post-Armageddon vision. We and all other large animals are gone. Rodents emerge as the ultimate post-human scavengers. They gnaw their way through New York, London and Tokyo... within 5 million years, a whole range of new species replace the ones we know. Herds of giant grazing rats are stalked by sabre-toothed predatory rats. Given enough time, will a species of intelligent, cultivated rats emerge?"

My personal favourite is the Bretonnian cover, *my god he goes critical* the imagery of the knight on the purple background is suggestive of good vs evil and the traditional shining paragon of the knight risking all for good or ill. Another thing is that it is just one random knight; there is nothing to suggest that this is the hero or lord character like the other books - which imo captures Bretonnia as we see every knight as a hero in his own right.

However the most special thing is the dove captured by the chaos spawn...
... i wont go into it.

The Beast of Chaos front cover is great, but the High and Dark elf covers really need scrapped, so does the VC but it is less noticable due to not having a clash of colour - orange and aquamarine on the high elf one.

I like the cover of BoC best beside Skaven. For interior art, I really like the illustrations in the army list of the VC book.

I think the Vampire Counts book probably has some of the best fluff stories of any of the book... The Strigoi and Blood Dragon, short stories being AMAZING. haha and the strigoi one has skaven ;p

I like the high elf cover a lot. It captures the misticness that I like so much about them ^_^
Least favorite is the ogres, but that's just because I never liked them and never will.

I have never said that, Badger, you know that. Do I still need to explain you that you are risking your soul?
