anyone know a store with the collectors guides that will shop to the USA? The GW uk store shipping is by kilo and is a ridiculous 8pounds per kilo.. so for books this would get obscene and that for really slow delivery. |

Do you know if it will show models from old eitions too? And how to order them? Because my local store manager wasn't able to order the "skaven with musket" and I've never seen a couple of old models, even by going in many GW online stores/collectors corner. Most of the models in S'nkeep link (check his bragging thread in "warlord clans") I never saw them before. And I'd really like to have 2-3 of them. |

yes I'll buy it, it gives me loads of inspiration, as did my other two catalogues. looking at other armies is cool, but just having all skaven bits and models in one place is very useful. this means you won't have to climb behind your computer everytime you're searching for that one model. also, this ensures I won't have to get behind my computer and write all the product codes on a piece of paper when I want soething mailordered by my local store. I'll just be able to bring the book, and fill in the form the store gives me. dead-useful, IMHO. cheers, Daionosis Rove |

I don't have the book, so I don't know for sure, but the white dwarf photos did show the old Screaming Bell (tagged "Classic Screaming Bell" or something) and it's components. So, it's safe to assume it'll show at least some older models. Dunno if all of them are going to be there, though. Looking at the G.W. site, I can't find the model I think you mean, not even in the classic section. I'm afraid it's rather too old... I only know it from my 4th edition army book. |

I don't disagree with you at all. I really wasn't a fan of characters with banners on their back... yeah... I guess they did do it, but looks kinda goofy to me, and Queek Head-Taker looked a bit ridiculis to tell the truth[but overall I loved the model. *Ducks from tomatos and various other vegetables]. I love a lot of the new stuff, but I think they could have done better with the Stormvermin. Yeah, they're good... but they are all damn near identicle. <_< If I do get the Collectors guide, it'll probably be just for converstion inspiration. |

Link in Disguise

Collecting Guides have everything that has existed within the Whole Range of that army. That would include every single bit and sprue that has been produced with the Skaven. The Collector's guide is only good if you are a constant mail-order, and need certain bits for certain conversions. O&G, Empire & Chaos have Collector's Guides. BTW, Collector's Guides have to be mail-ordered, and there's no point in buying the Collector's Guide unless you are a bit collector and, like I said before, are a heavy converter. The Collector Guide only has pics of the bits entirely, nothing painted or even assembled. @Sebrent: Any words of a Lizardmen Collector's Guide? |

Going by the pictures in white Dwarf, this does not apply to the new collectors guide, philleehellphia. It showed pictures of a complete and painted 5th edition screaming bell, as well as pictures of the unpainted components. |
