More grey every day.
Do you mean non-metallic metal... NMM? If so, I've been thinking about trying it, but want to improve my ability to paint consistant colors first. I'm trying a space marine unit, and I'm surprised at how different from Skaven it is....

I think it's more of no one here really knows what you're talking about, Nagash. Did GW release some new paint colors that are better for use with NMM techniques?

Also, keep in mind that we only have a handful of above average painters around here, and NMM is a pretty advanced technique. ;)

I can't do NMM painting, and didn't know either that they had released new NNM colours.

So, my reply would be "ermmmm..." which is very close to spamming.

I only use Vallejo paints so I didn't even know that GW released NMM colors. I'll have to check that out, I use NMM a lot on my display models (but never for my armies).

What specific colors did they come out with? Which types of NMM are they for? Hmm...I suppose I could go look myself...
...And all this time I thought there was only one way to "retire" from the Council! What you call "retire", I call a "stay of execution"..whats in a word? DM Mik!

I think the confusion is NMM (Non-metallic metals) is a painting technique rather than medium. For example, there aren't "drybrush paints".
There was a couple threads not long ago talking about the technique.
This one about Magmatrax and this one talking about NMM.

Short version is it's using normal colors (browns, whites, grays, etc) and careful shading to create a "metallic" look. I don't think you'll find a bottle of paint called, "Non-metallic silver" or something. If I recall, the Magmatrax walkthrough (in first link) talked about the technique.

you are right tilera.

But I also made a mistake, because I was talking about a new paint I use, and got them mixed up with the NMN style im also working with.

uhhhh Nagash goes down to clanrat again.

better show you some pics soon or you will forget all about me

Oh, the convo turned to NMM, so I figured that GW released NMM specific paints from what you said. I thought it WAS a bit odd, seeing NMM usually only uses normal colors...
