Dont say that having lots of small units is good, because theyll panic and all of them flee, so i would rather have 2 units of 30 then 3 units of 20... but thats just me

I must agree ... less troops you have, less possible LD test will have to roll :P

also, bigger units won't panic so easily due to shooting and spells (even monk haven't armour) or near runnig units ...

I often deploy at least 25-30 monks, with Umbranner and without 2nd weapons ...
they are cheap, 5-6 wide have 11-13 attacks, have full ranks and outnumbering bonus ..

sounds dangerously, isn't?

There are advantages to everything, ain't there:

*3 units of 20
- greater tactical flexibility in which direction(s) you apply varying degrees of force, which in turn gives you far more chance of taking hitting a chosen target in front & flank;
- disseminates enemy shooting by simply presenting more targets;
- more chance of outdeploying enemy (simply having more units will do that), and to disguise the direction of your main effort till the last possible moment.

*2 units of 30
- greater survivability to shooting/ magic because of added numbers of expendables;
- far more liklihood of getting + 1 for outnumber;
- sheer visual threat of a large block (or 2) will often cause tunnel vision in opponents, allowing rest of army free reign to wreak havoc.

And since we're talking Plague Monks here, Panic would only impact on the Infleadels (read: non-Pestilens), and that would serve them right for their lack of faith (because the Faithfull do not Panic). So it does not bother we of the True Faith one iota!

But then I would squeak like that (especially here),

I agree with White Paw. I play with 25&30crs, and 2*20 slaves, and to fill out my infantry i have 25 stormvermin and 25 plague monks (5 old metal ones to fill out the ranks - I have a metal command as well to split them into 15 and 12 or 16 and 10 for bubonic court list)
its still half my points on infantry blocks, but its much more exciting
In victory, thy glory on earth
In death, thy glory in heaven
Arise, therefore, Warrior
With thy Soul ready to fight!
