please help i'm pianting up some chiftains and realised i don't know how to paint black fur, i was going to paint them just black but when i tried it it looked stupid. so could some of you wise rats out there teach a fellow rat how to paint. thanks in advance

I think the usual with Black fur is base of black with a light dry brushing of codex gray. But that might just be me. |

What I do is paint the fur black and then paint the face grey after that I just LIGHTLY!!!!!!!!! drybrush grey over the fur if u put too much on it could just come out looking grey. |

I was just wondering, what would happen if you try inking the grey on? Or making him grey and inking the black on? That would probebly give some depth eh? |

yup, the best way for you to paint this stuff us just drybrush any grey or dark drown (scorched brown is good) or you could (but not advised to) drybrush it bleached bone. remeber drybrush lightly so tyou only see the fur not so the fur looks grey. |
