I like those a lot. Nice and easy to convert, too! Although now that I look at them more, the robes ARE a little silly...

Remember the KISS method.

Keep

...And all this time I thought there was only one way to "retire" from the Council! What you call "retire", I call a "stay of execution"..whats in a word? DM Mik!

I really dislike them...Just look mismatched and a bit lazy to me. They're alright, but not deserving of being on the site.

Not everyone is a converting god like you, Nagash. ;)

Well I guess I'm alone in my opinion. Humph. I haven't seen any better conversions for them (or ANY for that matter), so if you see any let me know and perhaps I'll change my mind.

ARRRRRRRGH... These are a disgrace.....why would slaves be given the honor of wearing robes. This doesnt deserve to be on any site. Not to mention they look like they were painted in 5 minutes.I'm trying to not critisize the paint job but come on their on the GW website. Nagash if u read this please show us how to make some real pussbags and rotten rodents. :ph43r:

The article is not there because they are stunning conversions. It's there to show one easy way to create the troops, that everyone can do. That's what I think.

I don't like the look of them either. It reminds me of the mutants for 40k Lost and the Damned army. They used ork, zombie and catachan guardsmen sprues and most of the creations were just too silly. These rats are not as bad though ^_^

:o *shudders*... look at that paint job! Oh lord, oh lord, oh lord...

Though, if you wanted to add a whole new level of funny-ness to your army, it would be a nice thing to add a Scottish pattern to the bottom robes. And then constantly at "aye", or "laddy" in your comments towards your opponent. *snickers*

With the addition of command models created in the same way using this conversion, two units of Pusbags and Rotten Rodents can be made out of two regiment sets - meaning minimal waste for this conversion!
I think this summarizes the reason of the conversion. Those who just enter the hobby and really don't have a clue on proper converting, it's an easy way to actually build up a Pestilence army. If that is the case then I applaud this, for the idea behind it (almost no left-over material, no lots and lots of extra stuff to buy with it) is very nice. Though, after having viewed the Tahnelian Airborne of Owen Rees, I really REALLY have to say he should shame himself. The paintjob is just NOT done.

Nagash if u read this please show us how to make some real pussbags and rotten rodents.

The problem with the rotting rodens is that you have to make a 20-25 strong unit and as you know I don't like the plastic models.

another thing is that, if I make the unit with 2 handweapons, then I could only use them in the pestilens army.

Here is what im going to do. I dont mind about the weapons, because they are skaven, and lets face it, it looks much better when they dont look the same.

Im taking the old metal clanrats, but just making them more pestilens like, so in this way i could still use them in the normal skaven army, but still with lot of conversions.

Yay! More eye candy... I'm developing an addiction here...

As for the GW ones... bah... saw those on Friday, didn't bother paying them any attention at all... those poses are unholy, we're talking +1 toughness Pestilens Clannies here, not Night Runners...

They look like something I could've done ^_^

Am I the only one who doesn't use rats for his pussbags?

I've worked up a unit from a mix of zombie (emaciated human scum), empire/brett peasant sprues and some skinks. My feeling is that these are the things we've capture and my pestilens boys have caught a lot of these scum. For visual effect I have 25 models with a rank of skaven at the back as if they are driving the slaves forward.

Also using models from different races allows me to offend most opponents :D

cheers

I'm sorta working on converting some Snotlings to fill the role. I think that the ones that they guy did on the UK site just arn't plaguee enough, especially for the Pussbags; I picture sore bloated half-dead slaves when I hear that name, not shorter rats in robes.

hmm. The pusbags look ok to me... kinda wretched.

Rotten rodents, on the other hand, look like they just got out of the shower.
So old. So so old.
