I was just reading the topic on the bad quality of the plastic sets, and I was wondering, how good are the Rat Ogre plastics? I like the look of them, but I dont like the new giant rast so I'm thinking of putting the giant rats in my bits box and using th spare packmaster to make a master moulder guy (cant think what they're called, havent read the armies book in a while) So how good are the models? Thanks. Banjo |

The opinions about them are divided... I think it all depends on what bits you use and how you pose them. I have one, his legs are next to eachother, his arms are slightley forward(as if he's hugging something) and I am not happy with that one. But the other guy, I did my best on, and he looks betther then the metal ones. And be sure to sign up for the RO painting comp. |

I haven't had the money to get new Rat Ogres yet myself but I think one problem is the clear border between the arm and torso. I guess it's nothing that greenstuff etc. couldn't fix but not everyone's used to use it. |

I happen to know someone getting rid of 4 rat ogres. ::coughs:: Anyway, the plastics are really good and it's all about how you decide to model them. There are some god-awful ways to do it, but some really good ones as well. |

I have only seen the way GW models them; so, I thinkl they are crap right now. The gaps really piss me off, and they mack something Mouldery. Just my 13 warptokens worth. |

actually i happen to be trying to find a place to put 5 nicely painted and converted rat ogres myself *cough cough* but other than that... new rat ogre plastics look good. 6th ed. rules, on the other hand... mad rat ogres (bubonic court list) are what the rat ogres SHOULD be like. |

Only one problem with the new platics and thats the arms fittin onto the main body, it gives a large gap in between arm and shoulder, though this is easily rectified by using a dab of greenstuff.
