He Who Needs To Stick Around For Once

While I wouldn't call her my 'significant other' (not if I had any survival instinct left), there is a girl who has a massive influence on my life... She doesn't play warhammer, hasn't read the rulebooks, doesn't know (much) of the fluff, but practically worships the models. I'm wondering what her reaction to Confrontation miniatures would be... Although if I ever do manage to get another girlfriend, if she objects to my playing of Warhammer, then I'll try and keep it out of the way of our relationship, maybe cut back a little (I'll probably halve my spending on minatures to get her presents, anyways), and try and show her it isn't that bad. If/when that fails, I'll come up with some excuse and drop that sucker like a rock... |

Well just remember, to have a successful relationship you need to give her more time than WHFB, and if she is truely a good one, then she will be content that you have a hobby that does not include her MR |

One of my favorite (theoretical- when I had a girlfriend I didn't know how to do this properly) tricks is to spend an hour or so making her a conversion- a ring made out of orc trophies, a battle standard bearer who's banner has "I LOVE YOU" painted on it, etc... I hope it works, or else I'm gonna have to go back to buying rings and cards and such... And people always take preccedence over games, when it comes to relationships. If you have a game scheduled and a date scheduled, and they conflict, blow off the game (call the guy first, if you can remember to), and go out on the date! That;s my (totally devoid of all factual basis and experience) advice. |

My wife, the lovely and gratious Mrs. Rodenticus, thinks these are wierd little men. As for stupid movies, you have to suffer through them, or you'll never get them to deal with your hobbies and "dumb movies." Though if my wife calls a light saber a life saver one more time.... MR |

My wife isn't really interested in playing, but she has recently started painting with me. I bought her a Fay Enchantress and a couple Bret Knights, which falls in line with what she would want to paint. Maybe painting Brets will get her interested in playing... ![]() In other news, I am sitting my 3.5 year old and 6 year old down today to each paint a clan rat, so my broodlings will hopefully be playing in a few short years! |

heh heh yes it would. Of course I neglected to mention that it was my daughters that are painting today! My son is only 9 months old... a few years off painting yet.We just finished painting the clanrats (old 1st generation plastic I'm afraid.) I let the girls pick the colors, so these poor rats look like Barbie Dream Vermin(tm) with all the purple and pink. |
