Why? you understood him. I understood him. My pet moonrat(D and D) understood him. Anyway, it is nice someone goes further(I always wanted to complete the Dune saga) but I personally wonīt read it. What will be in it? the Future Love Life Of Tom Bombadil? the Quest Of The Ents? The Return Of The Orks? I donīt like the idea, the story was finnished, I didnīt desire to read more. Stupid movie makers leaving out the very cool hobbit civil war! It was one of the coolest things in the entire book! And Aragorn ventured with Legolas, Gimli, AND THE GREY COMPANY into the paths of the Dead. the grey company where all rangers like aragorn. |

True, those are indeed points I missed... And the most fun part ("the" horn riverbeating through the Shire) was indeed the battle of the hobbits. I totally agree on that, and I'm also quite mad it wasn't in the movie. Greetz P.S.: I understand him because I have some grasp on the English language... people from Poland, Spain or France might not (no pun intended guys) |

I've never heard of this book or this author, but I'm pretty sure the Tolkien Estate did not endorse this product. They would never sell the rights to the world and the book, not only to protect Tolkien's legacy, but also because they don't want others milking their cash cow. This author being Russian arouses suspicion too. Russia is famous for not respecting copyright laws and producing cheap ripoffs of bestselling books. There was a controversy about this some time ago when Rowling sued some Russian Harry Potter ripoff. |

"I have a post-Armageddon vision. We and all other large animals are gone. Rodents emerge as the ultimate post-human scavengers. They gnaw their way through New York, London and Tokyo... within 5 million years, a whole range of new species replace the ones we know. Herds of giant grazing rats are stalked by sabre-toothed predatory rats. Given enough time, will a species of intelligent, cultivated rats emerge?" Richard Dawkins, The Ancestor's Tale | |

And by the way, parts of the hobbit war were shot for the LoTR movies but the whole sequence was leaved out, the movies would have been too long. Did you know that the director had to cut down from 32 hours of selected scenes to 2 hours for the first film, but just couldn't do it so he leaved it at 3 hours or so? So it's normal to leave someting out of the movies, but I agree, it s***s that it was the hobbit uproar that was cut off, it's such a good part! You once could see a scene of the hobbit war on the net but the guy who was distributing it was caught and I haven't been able to find the damn thing again. Did anyone know what I'm talking about? Or where it could find that scene now? |
