Anyone got any kind of idea what to do against this kind of army. I figured i'd go magic light, but field loads of rattlings and WFT's cus of the deamonic save thing not working against magic weapons, but i still think i need more advice. Any suggestions would be useful. |

I'd take 5 units of 20 Clanrats with Command and Ratling Guns, 2 units of 7 PWG's, two WLC's 3 Warlock Engineers fully Equipped (3 Dscrolls, Storm Daemon, Tenebrous Cloak, Death Globes), and a Grey Seer w/ an Eye, Warpstone Amulet, and Warpstone Token. When I played a tzeench army (it was mortals) this list eviscerated them. |

Thanks for the advice - just found out that the guy i'm facing bought a hellcannon to his last battle and this could kinda annoy the clanrats as it's unlikely to miss. (re-rolls of scatter). Is heavy magic gonna be a problem if I take it, cus Tzeentch armies are obviously heavy on the dispel dice and magioc users aren't so hot in combat. Would I be better fielding a combat heavy army (ie PMs, PCBs and SV) with two big clanrat units stead of 5 clanrats? |

they have really offensive magics, as in lots of power dice, but normal amounts of dispel dice for a magic-heavy army. They're no more magical than you are if you take all the power-dice upgrades. |

Taking the army mentioned above may well bring you victory versus any chaos horde. However, it is highly unlikely to make you any new friends. It isn't quite the archetypical example of the SAD army, as it lacks jezzails, but with 5 ratling guns bought by taking 5 minimum size clanrat units, 2 WLC's and totally maxed out magic, it is very very close. Take the army if you think winning is worth it, but don't be surprised if your opponent refuses to play. I quite possibly might in his place. |

"I have a post-Armageddon vision. We and all other large animals are gone. Rodents emerge as the ultimate post-human scavengers. They gnaw their way through New York, London and Tokyo... within 5 million years, a whole range of new species replace the ones we know. Herds of giant grazing rats are stalked by sabre-toothed predatory rats. Given enough time, will a species of intelligent, cultivated rats emerge?" Richard Dawkins, The Ancestor's Tale | |
