I still like Clanrats over Stormvermin.
A unit of 20 CR are 125 w/ Full comm.
SV are 205 for the same.
It's like getting a Weapon team for free.
(almost)
I just prefer the cheaper option.
I think SV should have an extra point of ST or LD or something.

Just a matter of perspective;
20 Clanrats = 100 pts. (minimum)
10 Stormvermin = 80 pts. (minimum)

Like you, I prefer the cheaper option.. ;)

My House rules (because we couldn't find actual rules)

assume that if the seer is not in BtB then he may use magic in combat as he is atop the bell, but that doesn't mean he's always there, but he's only able to target spells into the closecombat (use life is cheap rule).

Not sure if this is cleared up anywhere, but that's what we use.

Being in combat does not prevent a mage from casting spells (except magic missiles for everyone other than skaven). Note that vermintide, pestilent breath and plague all have specific descriptions of how they work when cast from combat.
Go forth my brethren, that we shall nibble at the roots of the old world!

We are the rats in the shadows. We hold the blades of corruption, aimed at the very heart of the Old World. We are The Council of Thirteen.

Second place in the UnderEmpire painting competition!
