Siege-Multiplayer; Need advice

I'm having a multiplayer battle in a few days and I need advice from aexperienced , in such battles , Generals.
I know that I shouldn't field a WLC as it is useless.
Secondly, I know that I MUST field tunellers to ensure our break-in:ph43r:
Finally, I have to field the Bell if I can.
I don't know what else I have to have, nor do I know who my allies/enemies will be.

Question : Do weapon teams fire at regiments on the Castle Walls?

how many points are you using?

If you are doing a multiplayer siege, get lots and losts of core. besides tunnleing teams and the bell, Skaven's next best advantage in this game will be numbers. Use your units to block heavy guys like chaos warriors. Skaven should be the first wave to ensure that the chosen knights gets to the walls. you get the point. so now instead of slaves being cannon fodder- your whole army is.

Don't invest too heavily on characters.

I don't know how many points I will use. It's up to how many players will be there.
I was thinking of the Storm banner for those machines and heavy magic to take out the defenders on the walls, to get up there more easily.
I know that I'm going to be Cannon fodder but it is worth those slaves I'm going to get in my hands!!! :P

Question : Do Ratlings hit enemies on Castle Walls and if they do, do I measure from the base the wall or the actual model?

if your using 3k, take a Grey Seer with a warpstorm scroll and a Warlord with a fell blade. pluss the bell and an assassin hidden a unit or scounting on his own. Take quite a few nightrunners aswell. I wouldnt take weapons teams as their not very usefull in a seige, take more Nightrunners/clanrats. Only take a small unit to push the bell and keep it well back as it can come under atillery fire and you realy dont want it falling over. The more units, the better and them ore units that reach the walls, the more dead things there will be when you get there. always ring the bell with 2 dice or, at a pinch, 3. dont tool up your characters but i would recommend a BSB for all those 25% shooting casualties from shooting tests. Get your fellblade armed warlord in contact with a wall and watch it dissolve (hopefully).
