go for more members at the minute and arm everyone with a sling (two for anyone with tail fighting), when you have about 18 members then get a rat ogre as they are magnets for missile fire so will need lots of back up for him.

id go for numbers myself or save up the cash since you seem to be doing well.

ps night runners use henchmen equipment unless you get that combat skill, so give the fighting claws to the black skaven

ps how many verminkin do you have? and what are they using?

Oops, I forgot about that night runner :) well I store that then. About the Verminkin, it are just that 2 (I had 4 first) and they are armed with sword, spear and sling. Should I get 1-2 more verminkin?

well the more bodies you get the less you get for your precious green rocks, so if your doing fine id suggest getting a rabbits foot for all the heros (all 6 hehe) and just rake in the money. if you need quick numbers use some giant rats for a little while and let them go and replace em with verminkin. equipment is a good way to go and fill up on things that are helpful but really its just personal preferance.

i like to save up while i have a small warband and then expand quickly not only can if i surive in the lower points get more xp for being an underdog.

Well,
right now you got a bunch of models and all hero slots filled. I would take some extra verminkin groups, and maybe specialising some groups (one being shooty, one being combat).

Rat ogres are expensive and go down REALLY fast! No-one wants to face one and so they are prime target. Believe me, I've tried it, but 5 (Reiklander!!!) marksmen with longbows are no match for anything. And that player enjoyed into shooting my rat ogre into oblivion.

gaint rats are nhencmen and therefore form into there own group, not as individuals.

I think you mean verminkin. And your right, but My Henchmen groups always excist of 1 model. More chance on good characteristics. And t makes 1 verminkin better then the rest. So the bad stats verminkin do risky things more often then the good charakteristics verminkin.

The downside to this tactic is that with the 1-2 Dead, 3-6 Alive recovery rolls, you can quickly lose your 'good' Verminkin when it goes OOA. If you use henchmen groups, you might lose one/ two during a battle, but will at least keep the experience from the third/ fourth member in that group... And for the risky things, you always have giant rats, since (i) they don't gain experience at all and (ii) are far cheaper to replace then verminkin. ;)
