So, for a few weeks now, I've been thinking of collecting a Wood Elf army (I think the thought has actually been around for years, I just never acknowledged it before). So... does anyone here collect them? And could you give me info about when they're actually being released, and how the army actually plays? Alternatively, if someone could direct me to a Wood Elf forum I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance

Go outside and hug a tree. If you like it,start collecting Wood Elves. I heard the new Wood Elves will get Centaurs and Stag riding cavalry. They are a hard army to play. Alot of fleeing, misdirecting enemy charges and multiple combats. I think they only have one unit that actually has a rank bonus. You have to carefully choose your combats. Treemen are tough. Dryads are good. Alot of missile troops. Very light or no armor.Flyers like warhawk riders and giant eagles. Almost the entire army are Skirmishers. |

I played agaist WE for the first time today. They are tough! There archers are abosolutly the best in the game. Armor peircing when in close range, no over half range penalty. BS 4. They can use the lore of heavens(anyone who can do that deserves something) I forget what they're called, but they're the little tree men. They are burly! So is the Big tree thing. I won, but not before taking severe casualtys from shooting. |

I've played WE for some time. But the models really suck. So I use Skaven models :P. I'm waiting on the new models and stuff. They are get a "Darker" look. With a sort of wood swarms. They get those heavy caf centaur stuff, and plastic wardancers! Who may charge through glade guards (super cool!) and archers become skirmish and may shoot through the glade guards. If I were you, I should play WE with your skaven models (with your friends) becasue all models 9except eagles) are not worth buying. Wait till the new models is what you should do. |

Yeah, Wood Elves may have little armour, but they are hard to beat! They absolutly slaughtered my Skaven in shooting. But then I got to combat and they all ran away! |
