I think this is a very strange question. But I and the best of my club decided to change armies for a time. I can use High elfs, or Lizardmen (he plays both) and he uses Skaven. It will be around 1k - 1,5k. But wich of the to is the best to defeat skaven? When I play against him I almost always draw (HE or Lizrdmen). But Elfs have much more things to come into flanks (chariots, eagles, and panic tests are auch). What should I choose? And what to take inside the army. I think my opponent will only deploy what he has seen of me, and that are: ratling guns clanrats (duh) Slaves engineers skryre kind. |

skaven can have a real hard time against lizzies because of the saurus' toughness, all those poisoned skink missiles, and their ungodly Ld rule. HE at that low point value are kinda fragile and a couple of tunnel teams could easily begin the demolition of your pointy eared army. i'd go with lizards. HE are difficult to manage without a lot of experience coordinating their units. |

I would second Phordicus at that. I play against both armies, and the lizards are the harder of the two, especially at low points. In fact at all points *grins* The HE takes experience, even if it is a cavalry army, which is the most efficient one. The lizards play more like your rats, being footsloggers, skinks are one of the nastier things against lightly armoured troops. And, you can rely on the sauruses never to run. *grins* I would keep your troops cheap, don't bother with spears or anything, just the basic chew and swallow tactic of sword and shield. Mmm two attacks per saurus *grins*. Just try to minimise his outnumber advantage, skaven ratling guns can be very nasty when you have so few troops. But... a skink shaman or two with lore of heavens magic might make short work of that *smirks*. |
I am currently writing an epic Dragon Age 2 adventure that can be found HERE!! or on my deviantart.

I'd go for Lizardmen. I have a lot of experience losing against them. Rattsu is correct about the Skink Priests aswell. The lore of the Heavens is way too uber! Oh yeah, and a magic item my bro always uses (he is my locals Lizzie player  ), is the Rod of Storms. It causes a panic test on the enemy everytime you use it. (Panic test + Skaven = (as you all know, i'm sure) bye bye half of your army!) Meh...confusing post ![]() Cya... |
