i know many would say hell no but the ablity to kill next to anything on the table is just a bit usefull.

however i suppose you could say a master assasin with fellblade can kill next to anything and costs less- not to mention that important -1 hero choice!

plz show your veiws fellow warlords

Well, at least he is cool :ph43r: .

i've never tested him, but in a 3000+ game i would definently take him. in 2000 im not so sure, but go ahead and try!

Gutter Runner
Boy is he ever. Not only is he stronger than a master assassin, he gets added war gear to boot. With Under cover of darkness, the cloak of shadows, and a 4+ ward save, he is very difficult to kill with shooting and combat, that's an entirely different story.

He can go toe to toe with anything in the Warhammer universe and win. Even high armor troops quake at his bands of power and killing blow. With a complement of sorcerers to skitterleap him, he rounds out my hero choices.

You might say only 3 heros and a 515 point 3 wound character is a large down side but the lack of troops (fragile ones at that) is actually a bonus, there're less points in weak troops you can give up. That 515 point character is extremely hard to kill and backed up by a triad and 2 sorcerers running amok, he can ruin your opponents day.

I take him.

he looks very good but some of this rules are confusing.
1) does his 3 weeping blades give him S7 atacks or stays S5?
2) can the power bands be used with the weeping blades to give him either S9 atacks or S11?

FEAR THE LEMMING!
Weeping Blades only give +1 S, and only do D3 wounds, no matter how many of them.
Bands of Power make his S9, not 11.

Master Assasin
I would take him in 2000pts. He does Kick ASS. I just have one problem with the deathmaster. The Model SUCKS real bad. It is so bad it almost makes me want a normal master assasin.

(No offence ment to anyone who uses the model for the sensei.)

Mabey its just the way its painted in WD but can anyone suggest a beter colour scheme of even put up some pics of their Deathmaster?

I think it's too many points, at 515 points the deathmaster would be 1/4 of your army.

I used him in a few 2500 matchs.

In one game he went toe to toe with a chaos uber lord, the fight lasted all game. He finally failed his ward save and died on turn 7. By then the chaos army was wiped out except for his chosen knights.

In another game against brettonians, he killed the hero, but the rest of the knights chased him down and ran him over. (failed the smoke bomb roll)

In another game against beastmen, he killed all their heros and went against a unit of beastigors by himself for two turns before I could get some gutter runners over there to help.

In yet another, he killed all the lizardmen heros, including the old one. Took out a stegadon, overran and assisted in killing off all the kroxigors. (they were engaged with swarms)

All in all, he is cool, and IMO, is worth his points.

for those that are lucky he is very much worth it. he has the ablity to kill all heros by himself with little to none backup. me the point cost is half the fun. elite kill team.
