As the fifth day of Sensei Stelfklaws "seige" of Fort Bohsenfels comes to a close, trouble is afoot for the forces of General Von Kiel. Stelfklaw sneered at his rats efforts to pull the largest Screaming Bell ever constructed towards the centre of his Under-Empire. His always fragile temper had again been forced as he heard that the other 12 master assassins would be commanding the task known as "Clan Supremacy". He knew he would have to destroy the people of Bohsenfels quickly and carry out his orders with the greatest haste. He smiled a crooked grin,"I shall inherit," it whispered. Stelfklaw gathered to him his twelve assassins, (the thirteenth was lost in the failed atempt to destroy the Nordbergbruche with the gunpowder laden steamship) He told them of his diabolical plans and they set about their nights work, there would be no dawn for Bohsenfels nobles... ****************************************************************** I played the 7 Knights scenario but I changed it to the 13 assassins to benefit the storyline ![]() As darkness fell once more on the doomed fort of Bohsenfels and the fighting ceased, Stelfklaw attacked. The twin moons basking the almost overrun fort in an eerie green glow. The most respected unit of Bohsenfels, the white lions, were almost destroyed, the 20 who remained would surely not survive the next days fighting. They patrolled the wall every night at about this time, but this time was different they were accompanied by the host of bohsenfels greatest keep and were marching towards the inner gate, a night raid. Stelfklaw swore, but he knew he could not fail or Verminious Fang would surly kill him. The other twelve assassins were stationed along the route nearer the gate, mabye there was a way Stelfklaw could survive after all? Stelfklaw fingured his glowing warpstone stars, as the last figures of the dark column passed Stelfklaw launched one of them felling a heavily armoured greatsword, he smiled. "Now," he screamed, his shout drawing the army's full attention and more screams of pain could be heard as more succummed to the mutating power of warpstone. The empire soldiers blind to their would-be killers fired volleys of hot lead in all directions, none connecting with the keeneyed ratmen. They formed up into a semi-organised formation, protecting their weaker men, but they were trapped, between death from a fall or death from darkness. Sensei Stelfklaw launched his attack in ernest, felling three of the greatswords with his lightnig fast stabbing motion. It was obvious that the Greatswords couldn't match his martial prowess as he easily parried or dodged their inferior blows. He reached into his cloak grabbing a conical flask shaped bottle and threw it to the ground; the sensei disappeared into the gloom. The green-tinged smoke attacked the lungs of all those who inhaled it, many collapsing, some even dying. Another assassin, Sneekin, had charged headlong into the white lions, the halbrediers matching the assassin stroke for stroke. The albino assassin, Kreepit threw more warpstone stars into the combat, one of which narrowly missing his comrade. The other assassins continued their barrage of warpstone stars felling another six men. The General of the doomed Keep, Marius Von Kiel, raised his almighty warhammer, signalling the advance. The sensei winced at the sound of the steel marching upon the stone, his advantage almost lost. The renown warrior priest, Ruprecht Seppel ran to the aid of the halbredier company and assaulted the blasted creature who was attacking them. He brought his twin hammers down, smashing the creature in the leg, its knee crushed under the blow. It amazed the priest how the creature could still manouvre with only one leg. The assassin launching a straight attack at the priest, its blades snapping on the gromril armour he was wearing. The priest laughed as he brought the hammer down again, this time its mighty surface impacted with the creatures neck, a sick snapping sound and a thud signalling its death. Ruprecht shouted a prayer to his warrior god before continuing the battle. The whistle of hot lead passing within inches of his vermin face alerted Deafklaw to the aproaching dawn, he yelled a command and all the skaven assassins charged, three were cut down by the thunderous handgunners or sickening Crossbow detachments, but those who did survive caused great carnage, many of the empire soldiers felt the stabbing pains of swordlike appendages or the crab-like grip of metal claws. Deafklaw was satisfied and sprayed the musk of fear and the assassins retreated. With a parting yell Deafklaw unscrewed the Orb he had been carrying and threw it into the very heart of the enemy lines. Von Kiel was engulfed by the darkness of the brass orb, his death coming as a major blow to the warrior priest who vowed to his almighty patron to get revenge upon the blasted children of chaos... Skaven Objectives: Kill Marius Von Kiel: Passed Kill Ruprecht Seppel: Failed Keep Sensei Deafklaw alive: Passed Total: 2pts Empire Objectives: Kill Sensei Deafklaw: Failed Keep Marius Von Kiel alive: Failed Keep Ruprecht Seppel alive: Passed Total: 1pt RESULT: Minor Skaven Victory As Deafklaw and his remaining assassins flitted through the streets to escape the dawn he heard the wailing from the warrior priest. A wicked smile crossed his rat-like features, he had passed his nights objectives, safe for another day at least. He returned to the sewers, the night would hold a surprise for the creatures of the Empire. "Ready the Climbing Teams and Ready the bell,"he squeked, tommorrow the world of men shall crumble and the Storm of Skaven won't be wether by the world of men! As a side note all those Deafklaws should be Stelfklaws! Giantrat |
