As Warlord Rik-Rik rushed to fetch his two bodyguards he ran into a piece of cheesewire set at head height... or would have if he hadn't tripped over a rat. Reaching out, he ripped the head of the assassin off, before realising that this was not the assassin, but a food-bringing Slave. He ripped the head off anyway.# (i did the cheesewire trick in a game of Inquisitor recently... it was funny) |

FEAR THE LEMMING!

Rik-Rik looked at the wire...then the dead slave. '...This is at least the third time this week. What the hell have I done wrong?' An alliance with the seer might be an order...or maybe another assassination attempt. He quickly got Jitter-Kill and his engineer, before going and arranging another assassination. He might just call for a truce after he ran low on tokens. |

Sigh... I wish Fang would notice this again and write another piece, it'sjust not fun trying to kill him if he's not reading. Unless he is. Are you reading, Fang? Oh, btw, I've posted up rules for Morrskar (my Grey Seer) now, so feel free to look at him and tremble. Or something. The rules are in the Warlord Clans section. Somewhere. |

Try and get his attention through PMs and the like. Either that, or post another topic...this one is already 3 pages long with about 4, 5 people posting. |

I have to say this is very good and highly skaven-esque, all the back biting and intrigue really bring hoem the true purpose of skaven- to heighten their own standing without dying in the process... |

Verminous Fang sat back from the viewing crystal, chuckling softly to himself. Thanks to the Assassin Skree'skree's efforts, the transmitter crystal was in just the right spot for Verminous Fang to see the numerous attempts between Rik-Rik, Morrskar and Arqueek. They were providing the perfect diversion that Verminous Fang needed during the long seige of Hergig. Sorry guys, been busy.

FEAR THE LEMMING!
|
The cloaked figure ran through the warrens of Grey Seer Arqueek...not being noticed by any. And those he was noticed by, well, they'd be found in the morning. He would run through the warrens before reaching the walls to the Seer's labs...dropping the scroll infront of it, pressing the amulet on top, making it concealed until that door would open. He then quickly ran out as he had come in, killing anyone who saw him. The scroll is a truce, not a threat. |

Warlord Varqueek ran through the marshlands, his breathing heavy. It had been almost three days since he had left Morrskar in search of the great Grey Seer Verminous Fang, three painful days without adequate sustenance. He began to think that his idea of betraying Morrskar was not as brilliant as it had first seemed, but he knew now that there would be no turning back. Morrskar was not known for his forgiving nature. He took a few more steps, before the long, hard days of flight took their toll on him, and he collapsed to the ground. He knew that he had to get up, to get out of the marshes, but his armour seemed so heavy. He looked up and saw a large rock jutting out of the boggy ground, a short distance ahead of him. If he made it to there, he could rest for a while. Painfully, he dragged himself up, tottering a few more steps towards the rock, before crashing to the ground again. Mud splashed up as his body hit the ground. He was thirsty, but he had used up all his water. His mouth was dry, his tongue swollen up inside. He knew that he could only last a day longer at most without water. Liquid began to drip onto his swollen tongue. It was cool, but had a taste that was unlike anything that he had drunk before, yet still seemed vaguely familiar. With an extreme effort, he turned his head skyward, to catch a glimpse of where the liquid was coming from. His eyes widened in shock as he came face to face with Vasquisk. "So-so" murmured the Assassin, "you sought to betray Lord Morrskar..." "Water..." croaked Varqueek, "More... water..." "Water?" replied Vasquisk, still keeping his voice low, "I have-have not given you any water..." an evil sneer appeared on his snout. "You mean-mean this?" he continued, holding up a small phial containing a glowing green liquid. "This is no water. You should know." Varqueek closed his eyes. He recognised the liquid now, from the short while he had spent in Cathay, learning the ways of Clan Eshin. It was one of their most deadly poisons. "I see-see it in your face, Varqueek. You know you have not long to live. So, I shall endeavour to keep you... company for your last moments before you face the judgement of the Horned One." From the folds of his cloak he pulled a small dagger. Slowly, deliberately, he drew the blade across the back of Varqueek's ankle, slicing through the tendons. "Yes-yes. Fear not, I shall keep you company..." |

Grey Seer Arqueek carefully entered his laboratory. He had already been informed of the break in, but it was still a shock to see the scroll sitting in his private warren. Reaching out and examining the scroll, he ripped the seal off and began to read the truce detailed within. His whiskers twitched with laughter as he read about "the unilateral bi-utilised mutual pledge to disarm successively". Yes, these extra Warpstone tokens may come in handy for the procurement of new troops...to seize those brass-making facilities he would definitely need the services of Clan Skyre... Of course, he would need to test his new ally before he could distrust him...maybe another assassin would work. |

FEAR THE LEMMING!
|
This time...no. Not this time. Rik-Rik could stay up for days if needed, and had given everyone orders to not enter his cave unless they heard a gun shot...of course, there was one in the room, altough he was hidden enough that not even a Master Assassin would be able to see him...he had found and sealed the tunnel the assassin had escaped through the last time, and he was holding his precious warplock pistol, aiming it at the door. It, of course, did have a few 'improvments'. He grinned...wanting the assassin to step through so he could test it out. |

As Rik-Rik aimed his pistol at the door he did not notice the shadow in the corner pointing a Warp-magnet at the gun. As the warp-energy increased Rik-Rik stared at the gun in horror for a second before it exploded, showering the bemused Warlord in burning warpstone dust. Rik-Rik screeched and dived into the huge barrel of Skavenade that sat in the corner in an attempt to put out the flames. Unfortunately he did not remember one of the chief properties of Skavenade: it is inflammable. As the immense explosion sent the roof of his chamber down the Warlord dragged himself out of the room, his life having been saved only by his magical amulet. Growling he shouted at his Assassin, "FIND THE ONE THAT DID THIS!!!" As the Assassin walked away an outside observer would have noted a glint of bronze deep within his cloak. A Warp-Magnet. |

FEAR THE LEMMING!

The humans scared little eyes were looking around, just catching sight of the warp-magnet as it left his view... "Warlord, the assassin had a magnet..." "What?! Damnit!! Get the assassin!" And so, chasing the already gone assassin began. |

As the Assassin fled through the twisted maze of passages a hand descended from the ceiling and dragged him up. Turning, the Assassin saw the scarred features of the Master Assassin Skratch Venomfang. As the pursuit thundered by below the Assassin bowed to his Sensei. "Revered Master, I..." "Silence! Your foolishness has endangered one of our other operatives. The Warlord will suspect him of treachery!" From behind the Master Assassin another of the cloaked Skaven appeared. "Master, if I pretend to have been attacked, the Warlord will not suspect me..." "The Master Assassin whirled, bringing the handle of a Weeping Blade down apon the new arrival's head. The unfortunate Skaven collapsed heavily. "Go-Go. Put this in some passage somewhere. I have planted what we know about Project Supremacy on the Warlord's desk. He will take this as a hint to follow the Master plan..." The two Assassins withdrew into the darkness, dragging the stunned Assassin with them. |
