What happens when you charge an already fleeing unit? I thought that they were just wiped out but my friend said that the fleeing unit flees another 2D6" (or 3D6" if appropriate) and if they are beyond the chrge range then it is a failed charge. Which is correct? (by the way, it was bretonnian knights that were fleeing, not Skaven!) |

The unit being charged can only choose a charge reaction of FLEE. That is why they flee an addition 2d6. If they are out of your charge range, after they move, then it is a failed charge. |

So if you declared 3 charges on a fleeing unit, the unit if placed correctly could escape one, then another and another? Wow. I think I'll try to set that up! |

If you charge an already fleeing unit they count as fleeing again, rolling another 2D6", if this does not carry them out of you charge range then they are run down, other than that it is a failed charge or you can re-direct. |

The only thing I miss in the answers above is 'where do the fleeing troops flee to?'. Just to give a complete answer; already fleeing troops who are charged succesfully (the attackers must be able to reach the fleeing target, before it has to make the additional flee move, so check the range), must react the same as when you give to order to flee from a charge yourself. So instead of moving towards the nearest table edge now, you move away from the attacker. This might help you decide if you want to declare a charge on a fleeing unit, cause sometimes it brings them back on the battle-field so your opponent has more turns/chances to rally them. |
