Not really sure what topic this should go under, but anyway... I am infamously bad at choosing what models to buy, I normally go into a store with a plan in mind, then change it completely (the first occurence ever was seven or so years ago, when I planned to buy Tyranids and instead started a Skaven army, so this might actually be a good thing ). Anyway, I have around £45, and want to know what YOU think I should buy, thus eliminating the need for me to think. I'll put down the prices so that anyone in a country other than the U.K. doesn't have to go through hideously long exchange rate calculations.Clanrats - £15 for box of 20 Empire Militia (a.k.a. Zundap slaves) - £15 for box of (I think) 20 Night Runners - £15 for box of 20 Stormvermin - £6 for 3 Plague Monks - £6 for 3 Gutter Runners - £6 for 3 Rat packs - (I think) £7 for 6 rats + packmaster Rat ogres - £10 for 1 + packmaster Poison wind globadiers - (I think) £3 each Jezzails - £6 each I have two small units of Clanrats already, so I'll probably expand these to one of 30 and one of 35. I have 24 Stormvermin, and don't really need to add to them. Jezzails are non-existent in my army, so I'll need some of them at some point, I have 3 Rat Ogres already, don't know if I need more. I have 2 rat packs, so need more. I also have 2 (yes, only 2) Globadiers, so they need adding to. I think I have enough Gutter Runners and Night Runners for my normal army, but they could be used to expand my Eshin army. Finally, I have 15 Plague Monks already (these aren't the only things in my army, but they're the ones that need most attention). What does everybody think I should buy?

I don't have slaves, but I have 5 swarms. Well, I never know, I might be able to get some more money somehow, or else rob the GW store... (Only joking, in case anyone from GW is reading - *looks around suspiciously*). |

OK, so I agree with phordicus on the following: 2@ Plague monks 1@ clanrats But I think that you desperately need slaves. Get either the militia box as you suggested, or a clanrats box, so that you can do some mix and match with bodies (putting the armored ones in clanrats, and the unarmored ones as slaves). |

Yeah, I'll probably get the militia box, there's only so many Clanrats I can paint before going mad... Should I just leave the models as they are, though, or convert them a bit to make them look more slaveish (by convert I mean "chop off limbs and replace them with spiky things"). This is beginning to look more like a painting and hobby topic now... |

You can probably just paint them "dirty", though a missing limb or two can't hurt (well, if it's them with a missing limb, it can't hurt me ).

Okay then, painting them dirty it is. And maybe chopping off a few limbs. If I'm in a bad mood. Thanks. |

id go for slaves, if your mail ordering them get a spure or two of zombies to make them look roughed up. dont paint it too zombie ish tho. if not see if you can get a few bitz from a friend or split a box, or just get two boxes of miltia for one box of zombies or get one of each and save some bitz from the zombies if you get more slaves later. it makes the differance imho. |

Yeah, slave groups of many races are good, it means that no matter who you fight, you'll probably have one of their troops in them, forcing them to kill their own people. HAHAHAHAHA  |
