I'll probably post this up on the SoC site later, but for the moment it will be an Underempire exclusive (wow, aren't you lucky?).

N.B. We are still attacking Nordbergbruche, aren't we? I'd hate to go to all this trouble and find I'm attacking the wrong place...

"Deathmaster Vasquisk led his elite raiding force of Eshin-warriors through the darkness, heading towards Nordbergbruche. After his successes in the city of Zundap which, since the almighty Vermintide had arrived, now lay firmly in the hands of the Skaven, he was eager for more glory, and to raise his status in the eyes of the Thirteen. As his troops moved forwards, the darkness began to thin, and dawn's first rays of light spread across the wooded area, shafts of light illuminating the dark spaces between the trees.
Vasquisk checked himself. For a second he could have sworn he'd seen something moving between the trees, but he must have been mistaken. But no, more shapes were moving now, and Vasquisk recognised what he faced. He turned to Slikritt, his second in command,
"Elf-things," he whispered, "in the trees. Spread out, quick-quick."
No sooner had he issued this command than he heard a blood-curdling roar from deep within the forest. In a small clearing, a few metres away, a monstrous beast landed, the earth shaking with the impact. A dragon, thought Vasquisk, things just became a bit more interesting...
His force was already spreading out, a large mass of smaller rats spread out in front of them. The two assassins, Slikritt and Skarsnitt, and the sorcerer, Skittersnitt, came to meet him. Vasquisk signalled to the sorcerer, who began his incantation. A second later, and Vasquisk found himself facing the Elf-lord, mounted atop of his dragon. Reaching inside the folds of his cloak, Vasquisk produced his weapon, the deadly Fellblade. Infused with warpstone, and empowered by the unholiest of Skaven magic, the blade had served him well, and he hoped it would do so again.
The dragon roared loudly, temporarily deafening Vasquisk. Swiftly it lowered its head, preparing to finish the Deathmaster while he was stunned but, with reflexes that only an Eshin adept could have, he dodged out of the way, bringing his mighty blade down on the creature's outstretched neck, severing its head from its body. The Elf-lord, despite countless years of training, had not been prepared for this, and made as if to run, but Vasquisk was quicker, leaping onto his back and hacking at him with the Fellblade, till all that was left was a bloodied heap.
The Elves, though demoralised by this loss, carried on with executing their plan. The archers held back, while the glade guard advanced, covered on the flank by a mighty treeman. On the left flank, dryads moved swiftly through the trees, reaching a group of black-clad Skaven and tearing them apart, propelling themselves into another unit of the Eshin-warriors, on the right flank, a group of wardancers followed suit. The archers, witnessing the power of the Fellblade, fired at Vasquisk. Despite the small amount of protection afforded by the ancient talisman hung around his neck, he was no match for such concentrated fire, and he fell into unconsciousness...
On the left flank, the dryads, held up by Night Runners, were ambushed by a trio of assassins, The Bloodied Claw, and Slikritt. Despite the strength of the dryads, they were no match for the elite Eshin troops, and were completely destroyed. On the right flank, another trio, The Silent Knife, accompanied by Skarsnitt, assaulted the wardancers, tearing apart the unarmoured Elves. In the centre, the Glade Guard were attacked by the swarms of smaller rats, losing five of their number to the vicious creatures, without making much of an impact themselves.
The archers let loose with more volleys, killing an assassin from both of the assassin Triads. In the centre, the Treeman charged into a group of Gutter Runners planning to assault the Glade Guard's flank, knocking down five of them and slaughtering the rest as they ran. The Glade Guard continued to weather the attacks of the rats, klling more of them.
The assasins charged into the groups of archers, slaughtering them all in a show of unrivalled combat prowess. In the centre, the rats continued to hold up the Glade Guard, for just long enough...
Having torn apart the archers, the remaining assassins leapt upon the beleagured Glade Guard. Though the Elven warriors put up a fight, ten of them were cut down, the others being run into the ground by the Eshin-warriors as they fled. All that remained was the Treeman, which, enraged by the desecration of the forest, charged in. However, in its fury its blows went astray, and it missed the assassins completely. In return, the nimble Eshin adepts clambered over it, cutting it open in many places and finally bringing it crashing to the ground.
As the sun rose to its full height, the remaining Skaven surveyed the battlefield. It was littered with bodies, both Skaven and Elven, but the rat-men were victorious. Searching through the sea of bodies, they came across that of their leader, Vasquisk. Though he was severely injured, he was still alive, and they carried him off into the forest..."

Yep, it's a bit long... :P

Yeah, the Dragon died.
Actually, it was pretty funny. I allocated two attacks to the dragon, and two to the Elf Lord. The lord saved both his wounds (he had a pretty amulet on, which managed to protect him, dammit) and the dragon was only wounded once.
I then rolled a 6 for the D6 wounds, killing the dragon  , and the elf fled and was run down.
Such happy memories...
