Wise Words of the Rebellion:
"When you run the gauntlet of the Rebellion of Flames, you must expect the unexpected" Warlord Morrik Ashenfur.
"Why is it, that as a culture we are more inclined to death than songs?" Warlord Brackenfurr.

Well, what if he decides do not do an all mounted army and gets smart and takes multiple men at arms units along with the knights? The simpliest trick against the knights is just tie them up in combat. After turn one they don't get the strength bonus and they'll be massively outnumbered.

How i try and beat my regular opponent:

Concentration of firepower+magic
pick off Pegasus Knights (those things are bloody lethal!)
charge slaves in the front and win on CR

And WLC their Damsels, so you get magical superiority.
The Skaven language is the only one to include 32 words for "friendly fire" and none for "reliability"

Is writing Dragon Age fanfiction

[Copied from the 'Hardest enemy thread since I realised it belonged here more...]

Never, EVER have any combat worthy units in the front when fighting brets. You need to build your army deep, and not wide. The reason? Nothing but swarms or unbelievable luck stands up to a bret charge, so you need to go about things differently than having units to your side that is ready for the flank charge.

One thing that usually works is to try to set up your units like this:

(S=Slaves F=fighting block (plaguemonks, clanrats, stormvermin))

...........................S...............S.............S.................

.....................................F...............F.......................
...................F................................................F........

The trick is to get the brets to charge the slaves. They cost nothing, and they will kill them. If they overrun it is important that they should NOT end up hitting one of your fighting regiments. Brets have a narrow frontage, so it shouldn't be too hard. Even if they hold, you should be close enough to do your own charge next turn. The trick is, since brets have a narrow frontage and VERY deep formations, they usually just can't pursue through your lines if you have them deep enough. Just suck them in, then charge them.

Because a bret is a very sad sight when he is charged *evil laugh*

The fighting blocks on the edges should be far enough behind the slaves so that they won't be charged. If the brets approach that close, then the slaves should be in charge range from them.

It takes a bit of timing to get the distances right, but once it's done it is a very tough formation for thde bret player to deal with. Add a few ratling guns, jezzails, WLC, poison wind globardiers and... mmmm yummy.

Just kill any flyers as soon as you can... they are EVIL.
I am currently writing an epic Dragon Age 2 adventure that can be found HERE!! or on my deviantart.

I have been enjoying this thread.

Since one of my main opponetts is a lousy Brett.

I have employed many of the tactics listed here and my win/loss is about 1/6 with a few ties thrown in. Partially this is due to his unbelievable luck to make that 5+ Ward vs my big stuff ie Warplightning, Warpfire thrower, and Jazzeils.

My issue with the deep deployment and I can layer it I will take 1 Stormvermin 4 Clanrats and 4 slave units plus some toys. But when facing 6 units of knights I cannot seem to seperate them enough for it to work. My sucesses have come from when I load up on magic and just blast away. Cause in 6 units of 9 54 Knights and 4 Pegasus is still alot to kill.

Also I have been unable to kill those dreaded Pegasus knights in all my battles with him save 1 it that was dumb luck they paniced right off the board.

But here is a fun character combo I did and it worked almost to well. Warlord (Blade of Furry +2A, Bands of Power S8, Warpstone Amulet 4+Ward) at 199 point with Normal Heavy Armor and Shield. He alone killed 10-12 knights and broke 2 different units, ofcouse his was in his Stormvermin regiment. The more I use the Stormvermin the more I like them.
