Well, I always have Censer Bearers in my armies (unless it's a really small one), but it took a recent battle against Brettonians to really make me love them. In this 2000pts battle they killed: 5 Questing Knights (all 5 died from failing their toughness tests), 6 Knights of the Realm (from a rear charge while Stormvermin held them up), a Prophetess of the Lady (think you're out of charge range? Think again...) and another 3 Knights of the Realm, before they lost a combat, fled, and were run down. All in all, not too bad for the 102pts I spent on 6 of them. |

Yeah they are pretty vicious! Don't you just love the look on their faces - you have to take a T test for all of your Chosen Knights - what a shame they are all dead ![]() Giantrat |

sounds like a recent battle i had. 2 units of 6 CB's charged 5 QK and wiped em out just from the fumes and suffered no wounds themselves. what was crappy was each unit was broken in turn by 20 HE spearmen, one got the charge and the other was charged. HE + Brets is a deadly ally combo to face for skaven. |

it's a shame . I'd like to use them, but cant bring myself to pay $100+ for a monk unit. I know I should, but I guess the way to do it is slowly(a blister here, a blister there...). do you Skaven think the monks are worth the $? About the cencers, I've heard there quite burly. How do you keep them from being shot at? |

You can't... especially with WE opponenets this bites (stupid we don't fight people rule, mutter, grmbl, mutter). So, I'm tending to keep them out of their line of sight. With a screen this works nice enough, and night runners are always fun in this since they're skirmish! Greetz |

yeah I usually keep them behind or beside my PM's so they can neutralize anything that might come from behind. And when the time comes I run them up into a sweet position or even charge something (10" charge definitly helps!). Also a Night Runner screen is plenty helpful as well. |

Played a 3000pts game agains a slayer army two days ago, i ofcourse played an all out pestilence army, witch meant 3 units of 25 plague monks 2 including one Plague Lord and a plague Preist each and the last one with 2 Preists! I allsow had 3 units of 7 PLCīs and i tell you damn iv seen slaughters befour but this was almoste enough to make me fell pitty for the fat beer drinking suckers... 2 units of PLCīs charged a unit of Slayers including Ungrim Ironfist and in two round i had totaly massacred 20 Salyers and Ungrim! And my opponent almoste started weeping as my Plague Lord brought down Garagrim Ironfist and hes unit of 15 Brotherhood of Grimnir, in the fourth round of battle! |
