Guess who's coming to pinball...!
|
You might've seen it if you've stopped by TTFF, but here it is: pinball table dedicated to Tailsy himself, under construction! Right now, the screenshots show what has already been implemented.![]() The illustrious backglass design, replete with speaker slits. Also, the DMD display is under construction. Ordinarily it's meant to be orange, but in all the FP games I've played it always turns out white, strangely - haven't found any solution to it. ![]() A rather more simple cabinet design. Has even got the splendiferous cover-art from SU #17! ![]() Those bumpers look familiar! Yerse - I designed them to resemble the bumpers seen in the Casino Night Zone in Sonic 2. As well, you might recognise the drop targets if you've played Pinball Party. Those are set to light the lock for Two-Tailed Multiball - brilliant name, eh! ![]() The spinner. That's planned to do that old 'putt-putt-putt' when you hit it hard enough. ![]() A few more features. There's a third flipper, for one, and the vertical-up ramp that leads to the right inlane. As well, the gate from the plunger area is mounted on the side, which makes scoring loops a lot easier! ![]() And of course, it wouldn't be complete without a tip of the hat to the classic Sega Pinball games and their Super Saver discount...! Well, that's what I have so far. Right now, the actual playfield art is in the works. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please don't hesitate to list them. It is a computer version! Although I do sometime wish it were real.. can't actually afford the parts though. Still, scripting it on a desktop is just as effective. |

Alright, a smallish update for you: yesterday I've tested out the animation for 2-Tailed Multiball, and it works fine, but I haven't worked out how to loop it yet.![]() And the cabinet design has been touched up a little; the edges are now a dark blue for effect, and a Start button label has been added.

THE TAILS PINBALL ADVENTURE PRELIMINARY RULESHEET - 28/3/2011 Object Revisit the past escapades of Sonic the Hedgehog's comrade, Miles "Tails" Prower No Skill Shot The ring lanes advance the bonus multipliers. When those are maxed out, lighting up these lanes also lights Extra Ball at the right eject. Modes Make the right eject when lit to start whatever mode is flashing on the playfield.
Multiball Lock is lit by completing TAILS through right loop combos. Progress toward this is displayed in lights in the center of the playfield. When TAILS is complete, the Lock is lit on the right hole shot. The Lock is worth 20M, and a new ball is served to the plunger. Lock 2 and 3 is immediately lit on the next left loop shot. Three locks makes... Multiball! As soon as the balls are kicked out, Jackpot is lit at the top hole: base value 50 million. Shoot that eject to collect the Jackpot. Any and all shots raise the Jackpot by 5 million. You must hit a number of Jackpots to light Super Jackpot; this number increases for each Jackpot you score. When Super Jackpot is lit, the timer starts counting down. Shooting the top hole during this countdown scores the Super Jackpot! (100 million + current Jackpot) 2-Tailed Multiball Hit both Tails drop-targets, then lock the ball at the right eject to begin. Another ball will be served to the plunger. During this quick Multiball, the Jackpot is lit and will score a flat 25M points. Tornado Millions Hit the standup targets to light the letters in TORNADO. Light all letters to start this mode and kick on the Super Jets. Jet bumpers are now valued at 1M for every hit, until the end of the ball. Hurry-Up Shooting VUK ramp combos will also spot one of the four green winged lights on the playfield. Completing all four will light Hurry Up, counting down from 60M. Shoot the top eject to collect. Super Tails All-out 5-ball Multiball! Every shot will be lit and when any of them are hit, you get an impressive 75 MILLION! BUT THAT'S NOT ALL - letters in MILES "TAILS" PROWER (quotation marks don't count) can be spotted through both loops, combo or not. If you manage to spot all 16 letters, you'll be awarded 1 BILLION POINTS!!!! You'll really fly high! Miscellaneous Scoring Setting a standard for all Triberus Pinball games, jet Bumpers are worth 1,010, and slingshots are 10. - Looks like a thrill-ride, doesn't it?!

I could try, but I have neither the knowledge nor the cash to do it. I might be able to program the DMD through P-ROC, but I'd have to learn Python and stuff... eek! |

I should warn you that work is slowing down on this table, along with two others I'm inventing; I'm concentrating more at the moment on a reproduction of Stern's Wheel of Fortune table. But I can promise you work will continue on TTPA! |
