Hi MattPrower, I need to ask if the sprite animations is all custom work by you or if you have been using templates. I have to make sure your doing ok on copyright rules here on TTR and DA.

Unfortunately, that isn't going to change the situation. The people who "made" the spritesheet do not actually own the copyright of the sprites. The copyright is owned by Sonic Team and SEGA.

If you didn't read the links provided by AugieD, here is what the second one says:
Quote:

You must obtain written permission from the proper and legal owner of any work which you wish to use.

This applies to deviantART, but you can upload your works elsewhere if you want to display them here.

No, it means that SEGA or other companies must provide you with written permission, this is a document written by the original copyright owner stating that they have given you permission to post their works (modified or not) on deviantART.

If you don't have direct permission from the copyright owner, deviantART does not allow you to post it.

If you are unable to understand the explanations about copyright and written permission, then to put it in simple words, you are not allowed to post edited or unedited sprites on deviantART.

You should upload them to an image hosting site like PhotoBucket or ImageShack. As far as I know those places don't remove images...
