First of all, let me tell you guys that I really don't think of myself of an artist. At all. I've never been very good at art, and I don't think that will ever change. The reason I originally joined dA was mainly to keep in touch with some of my friends. I do like to draw once in a blue moon, though. It's really a lot more fun than I imagined.

So, with all that aside, here's my dA. If any of you guys have accounts, feel free to drop me a comment or something so I can add you to my watch list on there.

Thanks. I was really pretty happy with how my character sketch came out, although I really don't like my shading/coloring job on it. *shudders*

At least you colored it! I never color mine because I think I'll ruin them LOL
Eitherway, the coloring isn't that bad either. Plus, scanners are notorious for making coloring look worse. =p

I'm paranoid about coloring mine now, too. lol And that is true about the scanners. The whole picture does look a tad bit better in real life.

I wish I had a better scanner, one thats thin and doesn't take up much space like the bulky one I have currently. I still have to set it up (had to take it off due to a new CPU I put in). I'm just lazy to put it back XP On top of that, My old Photoshop won't work on my new computer so I have to deal with more wires being unplugged and replugged if I wanted to use it again..

So, have you tried any digital drawing programs?

No, I haven't. Frankly, I don't really know what to use. Is there anything you would recommend?

OpenCanvas was the program that really started me off (in knowing how to use digital art programs). It wasn't too complicated and seemed straight forward. You should try that one. :tailsfly:
The very first program I tried was Photoshop because I had heard so much about it, but when I tried using it I found out the hard way how beginner-unfriendly it was @_@ So, I had to work up to it.

Alright, thanks for the pointers. Maybe I'll check them out. Like I said before, I'm really not much of an artist, but I'm always interested in trying new things just for the heck of it.
