Welcome to The TV Shelter.

We are sorry to say that as of the 8th April 2014, The TV Shelter will no longer be open to new posts, threads or members. Like that famous Monty Python sketch, this forum has joined the choir invisible.

However this will continue to remain as an archive so that visitors can mindlessly plunder through old threads to look at PIFs, TV listings and other miscellanea that made this place truly unique.

And if you still can't get your fix of TV nostalgia visit Facebook's TV Heaven or even TV Ark, the website that spawned the original forums.

And finally a long standing has made a successor to the TV Shelter, which to a few is reminiscent of when an ITV franchise would change to another. The forum is called The TV Lounge and should keep the spirit running that it's predecessors carried.

We hope you enjoy your visit.

I can see him doing a gameshow, wasn't Mr & Mrs mentioned?

However it's beyond me why they are giving him a second series of his dire chat show!
This is HTV West!

he's the sort of type that can do a modern Mr & Mrs revamp (like Clary except his version didn't go down well)

his chat show is just drivel and the nonsense about the cups of tea (provided by his chosen tea lady) he gives to every guest. there's just too many chat shows and they all repetive, how long will it be they interview nearly everyone and there won't be anyone fresh and intriguing anymore. such a waste of space.

Will this man never go away! Am I alone in thinking that just because he's silly, campy and has a mildly popular role in a soap does not entitle him to present as many TV shows as he likes?

My guess is that the commissioners think that young people are going to like him because he is camp, when they were in that age group they it was against the law to be gay

Emperor's new clothes methinks. He can't act, he couldn't interact well with guests on his godawful chat show yet ITV have seen fit to recommission it?? Weird...
