| Welcome to The TV Shelter. We are sorry to say that as of the 8th April 2014, The TV Shelter will no longer be open to new posts, threads or members. Like that famous Monty Python sketch, this forum has joined the choir invisible. However this will continue to remain as an archive so that visitors can mindlessly plunder through old threads to look at PIFs, TV listings and other miscellanea that made this place truly unique. And if you still can't get your fix of TV nostalgia visit Facebook's TV Heaven or even TV Ark, the website that spawned the original forums. And finally a long standing has made a successor to the TV Shelter, which to a few is reminiscent of when an ITV franchise would change to another. The forum is called The TV Lounge and should keep the spirit running that it's predecessors carried. We hope you enjoy your visit. |

I'm sure many of you here on the Shelter will recall "The Bionic Woman", the 'Six Million Dollar Man' spin-off series which made Lindsay Wagner a household name. Well, for those of you who don't know, it's back on US TV in a brand-new incarnation, with ex-EastEnders actress Michelle Ryan (Zoe Slater) in the starring role of... wait for it.... Jamie Sommers. The series will be on ITV2 sometime next year, but to whet your appetite, here's the extended preview shown on NBC : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DykSTEPNkA4 BTW, the new series doesn't have the "bionic" sound effects featured in this clip, which were added by the person who uploaded it for nostalgia reasons! IMO, though, it looks to be a decent remake, but what do you all think? Comments, please. |

Looks interesting. I watched both the Bionic Man and the Bionic Woman when I was a kid and I had the Steve Austin action figure so I'll give it a try and see what they've done with it. Wouldn't have picked Michelle Ryan myself but she seems OK in the role based on this clip. She doesn't sound right with an American accent, though! |
