| Welcome to The TV Shelter. We are sorry to say that as of the 8th April 2014, The TV Shelter will no longer be open to new posts, threads or members. Like that famous Monty Python sketch, this forum has joined the choir invisible. However this will continue to remain as an archive so that visitors can mindlessly plunder through old threads to look at PIFs, TV listings and other miscellanea that made this place truly unique. And if you still can't get your fix of TV nostalgia visit Facebook's TV Heaven or even TV Ark, the website that spawned the original forums. And finally a long standing has made a successor to the TV Shelter, which to a few is reminiscent of when an ITV franchise would change to another. The forum is called The TV Lounge and should keep the spirit running that it's predecessors carried. We hope you enjoy your visit. |

Have any of you seen that Jasper Carrott quiz Golden Balls? I can't see this one becoming cult viewing. It's rubbish and completely the wrong vehicle for Carrott. What do others think? |

I agree, that it's wrong for Jasper Carrott. On his programme "Canned Carrott" he usually would give a bad message for gameshows and shows where people would argue with a cheap accent. |

i've seen Golden Balls on a number of occassions (although i only saw three complete episodes) and i have to say that this is a desperate project for the ailing comic. it has a basic game plot (four contestants each get five balls at random, although they must only show their two in front, since there are hidden killers, the contestants talk to each other-often slagging off an opponent and then vote for the most dishonest person whom may be hiding the killer balls) THIS INFO. IS FOR ANYONE WHO HASN'T SEEN IT! the contestants can be horrendous and often in the final game, they can on mess up their total by revealing a killer when picking a ball to win. too cruel, not very engaging, same repetitious behaviour from the contestants, some nice contestants and easily forgettable |
