Seriously.
Go to the Windows Control Panel,
Switch to classic mode,
Pick the user accounts.
Click on "Toggle User Account Control System" (Text may differ on different version vista) button.
It prompts for permission from user.
Click the "Turn off User Account Control System" (Text may differ on different version vista) button.
If you account does not have a password and it prompts for password just leave it blank.
It will prompt for permission again.
After that you should see that the UAC is turned off.
Restart the computer.

Done, (i hope, on your computer).

I Would prefer windows Xp beacuse Vista is still new and its slow beacuse its trying to Preveiw The graphics...
and people are still getting use to it but XP alot of people are use to that system

1. 7 beta the new task bar and the fact it runs like xp was a win
2. xp it's not always pretty but i runs very well
3. vista i've seen more bsod's with vista then xp and the 7 beta combined

I would personally prefer Windows Vista since this computer I have carries more giga bytes so I can store more stuff :D

Still Windows xp could work fine
