Name: Captain Altanero (Masked Man) Age: 28? Nationality/Birthplace: Russia? Allegiance: HRL Desired Rank: Captain (license holder) Stationed: Currently awaiting transfer from Africa to South Asia Appearance: Altanero is about 6’2” and about 189lbs, he is lanky looking and has short blonde hair and green eyes. His actual face is hidden behind a samurai mask which is a dark metal shade with a red chin piece. His outfit is that of a normal HRL uniform only he wears a red and blue kimono over it the uniform is green with black outlining. He wears fingerless shooter gloves and black boots that come up to his knees. His pilot suit is that or a normal HRL suit green and black only difference is his helmet has horns on the front of it like a demon and he wears his mask under it.  Personality: Altanero is very honor bond; he will not attack an enemy that isn’t well armed or able to defend themselves. He regularly participates in duels with other mobile suits rather than a full all out battle. His honor comes from the fact that he once suffered a great dishonor in battle this makes him feel as if he must make up for things. Along with this he feels he has an undying duty to his fellow soldiers and will not hesitate to put himself in harm’s way for them. Being a professional soldier he normally follows his mission to a tee but will not do things that goes against his honor to get the job done. He is really quiet and normally speaks to only a few people, his mask is a mark of his burdened past. History: Not much is known about Altanero’s past before he joined the HRL, he joined up during the second wave of missions to the AEU’s territory. He was a fighter pilot who had shot down several AEU crafts and a few Union crafts. He was then assigned to the Oni Unit and given a Zaku II, he was also promoted to the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Soon afterwards the Union and AEU introduced their mobile suits Altanero did something astonishing and single handily defeated 3 GM’s and a Gundam in one battle. He was promoted to the rank of Captain, and given his own team. To distinguish his unit from others he painted his Zaku Red and Black. Captain Altanero or rather the Red Comet as he is known by many enemies was transferred to the Mid African base where it was suspected the Union/AEU alliance would be pushing a military front. He is currently awaiting transfer to the South Asia base in South Korea. Skills: Altanero is an excellent mobile suit pilot preferring speed and close range battles over long range. Many people says he has perception that is nearly a sixed sense in combat allowing him to read his enemies moves though it is due to years of experience. Though he prefers close range combat he is an extremely good shot, he is also currently undefeated in his Zaku. Altanero is a master tactician as well allowing him to read a battle plan of an enemy and quickly adapt to it. Equipment: Though it is recommended he keeps a side arm on him at all time he does not as he believes it does not befit a true warrior. He does keep and ornamental Kodachi on him at all times as well as his mask. He keeps water and rations in his suit. Unit: Zaku II- Painted red and black his colors, and given extra boosters in its legs to give it extra speeds, the Zaku also instead of having a heat tomahawk carries a heat Katana and a heat Kodachi for close range battles. For long range it carries a bazooka or a rifle.
