OK..I'm short on project funds and Elvis needs tires. I've got a set of Astro supremes with nearly brand new wide whites on them. OK. be uber lazy and just put the wide whites with the astros on them? Or go get the tires reversed to whites on the inside? If the tires will fit my AR Daisys it will answer the question I think... I'll just put the black side out on the AR's. But I'll have to wait a week until I can get to the size on the Astros to know for sure. So in the mean time...Inquiring minds want to know!

Well here's my $.02 (Cdn) worth.
I see no problem whatsoever with putting whitewalls to the inside of a rim. I've done it myself in the past. My only concern would be that these are WIDE whitewalls. The white could end up being very visible especially on the front wheels. If you could find a black tire paint to use on the insides, that wouldn't end up looking too obvious, you might get away with it. Another possibility would be to check around to see if anyone would give you a decent trade on the wide whites. Maybe another car nut in your area has a real need for the tires you have. Possibly a tire shop could cut you a deal. Sometimes shops will have sets of tires that customers have traded in. Might be worth a try. Good luck, and let us know how you do.
