I've just got started back on my 65 Mustang project. A major basketcase - just gotta put one foot in front of the other and hopefully some progress will motivate me to stay at it this year (unlike last year) No engine, no doors, no fenders, no interior yet.
Working on the front suspension now - all new bushings, springs etc. and a changeover to 5 lug. Then it will be rear time (I have a 57 Ford 9 inch for it) then it will be time for floor pan replacement. Hopefully these things will be done by mid summer, then it will be money spend time! The plan is a 351W stroked to 392, with a C4. New wiring harness, lots of new interior stuff, new GT grille, and a nice silver paint job. I want to put the biggest 15" tires on it that will fit, but otherwise hope to keep it fairly stock looking. It's nice to know that ANYTHING I need for this car is available new/aftermarket. As long as I can scrape up the money, that is. ft |
