Wow this forum has been quiet for over a month! In order to stir up some conversation maybe we could discuss some tips for small (quick, easy, inexpensive) but worthy improvements that can be done on our vintage ponies. Here are mine: Pertronix Ignitor clutch fan kickdown cable (mine was missing) Ten inches long and what a stir it causes!!

OK... I know the tooth brush is a good idea, but how about an electric tooth brush??? You could like just put it where you want the work done and not have to hardly move!!! (unless you put the little vibrating bugger where it wasn't meant to go, and then the challenge would be not to move!!! ).

Hey!!! something else just crossed the dirt road of my mind!!! Can you imagine the look on a Grrl's face if she was in a crowd (say... at a car show), and she had her electric tooth brush in her front pocket and the "on" button accidently got bumped??? OK... I've got to get back to painting my garage. |

Here's one I just remembered: air pressure. My tires were feeling low in the autumn, turned out they were lower than I had realised. As soon as I topped them up, I could feel the difference. (It never ceases to amaze me seeing cars driving around town with half inflated tires. I once checked the tires of a girl that worked with me--both front tires had less than ten pounds, one had maybe 12, and the other one 20. She had bought the car three years earlier and NEVER ONCE checked the tire pressure! )
