I'm Derpaccentric optimistic.

Name: Kaze Rainex
Age: 21
Homecountry: Lithia
Gender: Male
Height: Six feet two.
Build: Lean.
Appearance: Posted Image

Class: Archer
Level: 3
Weapons: Bows-current weapon: Short Bow
Weapon Levels D

Summary: A 21 year old man of letters who believes in authority and straightforwardness. Seeks power to avoid repeats of personal tragedies. As a boy in western Lithia, Kaze emulated soldiers to the point of mimicking the way they walked and talked. Later, he would join a local militia and serve faithfully until his troop settled in an idyllic village, where he found his first love, a young girl named Terra. The week before the marriage, his fiance was murdered by a mage specializing in fire spells. Horrified by his inability to match the mage's power, Kaze joined a mercenary company in order to hone his skills and gain the ability to one day carry out his revenge. Kaze has blunt political views, seeing clear class differences between "big" and "little" people, and clearly wants to be one of the "big" people, hence his emulation and respect for authority figures. A lifelong fan of fairy tales, he prefers his optimistic way of looking at people, and still tends to ignore injustices when they clash with his worldview. Has the worst sense of humor of the group.

Bio: Kaze was born to a normal family in western Lithia: Encouraging dad, worrying mother, single child. His first five years, nothing special happened, other than a kind mother who taught him the basics of reading.
When he was five, a visiting troop arrived in his town. Most of the soldiers quartered up in the town inn, but one decided to ask for lodgings elsewhere, and wound up in Kaze's home.

The boy was intimidated by the imposing soldier when he first turned up. Kaze tried to keep to himself, burying himself in a fairy tale book. The soldier noticed this, and thus asked him a simple question, one that set Kaze on his path: "Would you like to hear a different kind of heroic tale?" Kaze looked at him, thought a bit, and nodded.

And so the soldier spoke, removing many gory or bad details to protect the kid's image. Kaze was awestruck, and quickly sucked in by the tales the soldier spoke of during his stay. As they left, the man gave him a token: a broken off arrowhead. "A good luck charm passed down to me when I was young and interested", the soldier claimed.

Ever since then, Kaze modled his life after the stories he heard.

Oh, it changed the boy so. He woke as the soldier told him, ate like the soldier told him, even played soldier with the friends he made. It was all he could ever talk about. He even persued a bit more advanced (for lithia) documents in his quest to emulate them. His mother so worried after him. His father, on the other hand, encouraged him, on his tenth birthday buying him a bow and arrows, and teaching him how to properly use it.

When he was seventeen, he finally got a chance, albeit a small one: A local milita was enlisting people for a few years worth of service. After that, any that signed up would be free to go as they pleased, though there were plenty of incentive to stay or branch out to the real military. Kaze couldn't stop himself from talking about it! Finally, through a serious discussion with his parents, he was free to do as he pleased. So he went.

Unfortunately, the years he was there proved to Kaze that the soldier left... quite a fair bit of things out. In his time he saw how ugly war could get. This displeased him. Where were the heroics? Why were they more a political force than actual people? Why did they have to do such wrong things? Were was the right?

Finally, in his last two months he came across an idealic little village. Hoping to influence a kid as he had been, the troop settled in for his last stint.

He was asked to take up lodgings, and he did. But the discussion involved there was about the town's mayor. He listened intently, and got many differing viewpoints on the subject; few of them mentioned how to help the people. Enraged and feeling he could make a difference, Kaze took up the mantle of the people, making his voice known. Initially he was dismissed, being a newcomer, but the villagers backed him upon hearing more and more of his ideas, and thus he was listened to. His views attracted many ladies, and he did have his eye on one in particular.

He spent many nights with the woman, named Terra, slowly opening up about himself. She was quite plain, but Kaze developed a love for her nonetheless, and proposed.

At the end of his two months, he decided to stay with her. His former troop moved on, the captain swearing to put in a good word wherever he was headed. Kaze really had it all: a girl he was engaged to wed, the suppport of the people, and training and experience to protect them.

The week before he was to wed, a group of Covenwood mages got wind of his location. Kaze was nobody, but they didn't care: the only thing that mattered was getting an imperial dead. Kaze fought bravely as he could, but he was no match for them. As he took one foe down, a mage cast a fire anima. Kaze was occupied, setting up his arrow for another target. Terra was the only one that noticed, split seconds before it hit him in the back of the head, she pushed him out of the way and was, unfortunately, immolated. Kaze was pushed and turned around right as he saw her perish. He had no time to react; she was gone. He screamed stumbling out of his once home.

Things got worse, of course. As he stumbled out, he discovered more mages had set fire to his town. He went on a rampage, killing as many as he could.

Having nowhere to turn to and no desire to go back to being a political pawn, he traveled until he came to a mercenary company called Mikayel's Menagerie. Having his militia experience, a traumatic experience, and a desire to make the world better HIS way, he signed on.

Additional Notes/Comments: Writes letters to his dead fiance and submerges them in water until the paper is dissolved. Is used to comments about his slightly longer than normal neck. He even takes it in stride, saying ir's where the extra two inches come from.

Crux

Name: Granza Gaeges
Age: 19
Homecountry: Wildlands
Gender: Female
Height: 5'1"
Build: Very fit, but not bulky.

Class: Fighter
Level: Level 1

Weapons: Pickaxe
Weapon Levels: Current Rank-E.

Summary: Granza is a loner, an outcast due to her lineage as the descendant of a manakete and a human from long ago. She has been exiled from her village since she was able to defend herself, and due to the branding that curled over her body, was seen as an abomination. Due to this, Granza takes great care with anything that she receives as an actual gift, or perhaps from being thrown at her, and is very careful with all of her possessions. She is shy, with low self-esteem, but is almost entirely selfless despite her singular upbringing outside her original birthplace. Fiercely determined when pushed, she uses her almighty strength combined with her pickaxe to strike at the hardiest parts of an opponent, whether it be bandits or natural predators, in order to deal crippling if not fatal blows. Granza is somewhat learned thanks to traveling caravans that don't seem to adhere to the social mores of her birthplace, and in return for her impressive hunting skills, usually gave her some fort of schooling or knowledge during their stay. In this way, Granza is insatiably curious and willing to learn whenever she can about the world outside of her village.

Appearance: Tawny, wild hair down to her neck, golden eyes brimming with life. Skin is tanned, a shade or two darker than the norm with the barest hint of red, a sharp contrast to her fair-looking hair. She's usually dressed in a red vest, blue shirt with faded collar, leather shorts, a pair of studded boots, and a pair of finger and backless gloves for enhanced grip while protecting her palms. Everything about her clothing is pretty ragged, though she's taken great care to learn how to sew and repair it all, and even the bandanna she wears on the top of her head is threadbare and worn.

Drawing

Bio: Nineteen years ago, in a small, isolated village close to the steppes, a child was born. This was no ordinary child, however; to the people of this tiny hamlet, she was an abomination, a creature that went against nature itself. It was barely considered living, more like refuse to be tossed away. Some deemed it should be killed immediately; others wisely suggested that they raised it, no matter how reluctantly, until it could fend for itself, then cast it into the vast steppes outside of the village walls. With any luck, with the meager survival tools given, it might die or it might prove useful as a first-line watchdog for bandit raids.

Thus, Granza Gaeges came to life, a name given to her by the parents that she never knew. For the villagers, this name meant nothing and couldn't be pronounced. It was seen as a further stain on her living existence, a waste of flesh and a demon given form. She was taught the barest essentials, how to speak, how to communicate, how to show respect, and how to survive before being tossed out of the gates when she was 8 with nothing but a worn pickaxe, a tent, and barely a day's worth of food. It was harsh, cruel, and for all of the neglect and hate the villagers gave her, Granza gave nothing back. Her immense strength for her frame gave her an unprecedented chance for survival, and her keen mind, able to understand and process things and draw conclusions a lot faster than the villagers gave her credit for, enabled her to not only survive, but to thrive outside the stifling walls of the birthplace which hated her very being.

It took months of trial and error, but with plenty of vitality and endurance, Granza became proficient at hunting just about anything, using the pickaxe to aim for the weakest points or to crack through the hardest shells. It became her livelihood; the village saw her worth and decided to take advantage, using her to hunt and paying her pittances for her effort, even if it left her battered and bruised. When traveling caravans approached with merchants from other villages and cities, Granza traded skins, meat, materials she had managed to gather, and even random supplies left over from traders that had died on the trail and had no use for the items anymore. She didn't trade them for money, however; she often traded instead for good food, and as often as she managed, repairs for her pickaxe and the occasional lesson from a passing scholar.

In this way, Granza lived for 11 years, honing her skill and becoming well-known as the best hunter in the region, a curious sort who rarely talked and shied away from the gentlest of touches, but whose drive and will surpassed all else. Eventually though, even her patience, as stalwart as the earth wore through. One night, the village was raided by a beast which had been attracted by the smell of food from the latest festival, a great, monstrous thing with a hide too thick for swords to cut through or for normal people to pierce with spears. As it rampaged, Granza took her pickaxe and leapt to the fray, using every trick she had learned from her years of exile to trap the beast long enough to impale its skull with her pickaxe and gouge its spine, leaving it to flop dead in the village square.

But instead of cheers, of some form of thankfulness, all she felt was the scornful gaze of people who loathed her for simply living. Eleven years she had spent protecting them, feeding them, and doing toiling, thankless work, and yet the one day she broke tradition to save them, they spurned her ever more.

Granza found a flyer laying among the ruins of stalls as people began to gather stones and other objects to chuck, opting instead to turn around and leave, never to be seen again around the village.

The flyer was for a mercenary guild, for recruits looking to prove themselves and earn bounty on their merit. A chance, finally, to prove her worth.

She packed up her tent and began the long trek, leaving nothing but the remains of a poor firepit on the steppes.

Supports:

Additional Notes/Comments: Incredibly spry and agile, and likes camping by herself. Can be lured with sweets, especially honey, or well-cooked meals. Carries with her any number of small curious, ranging from a kaleidoscope to a globe of the world, and a small book on the history of what could've been her ancestors. She can only read some of it, and would like someone to teacher her more.

Name: Full name is Kristine Erebus, but she goes by Kris, and hates her last name
Age: 19, just turned about 2 months before introduction
Homecountry: Covenwood
Gender: Female
Height: 5'8"
Build: very skinny, but slightly toned (not just skin and bones)

Class: Dark mage
Level: 1

Weapons: Dark Magic only
Weapon Levels: E

Summary: A rather timid and quiet girl to the people around her, yet awe inspired by the world at large. She's never gone outside her village before her big adventure so everything is new to her, and scary. She'll hide away and cower from pretty much everything, but once she warms up to you, she'll be that super attached little sister you never had (or more if Red decided to put that kind of thing in here)

Appearance: (Picture coming soonTM)

Bio: Born in a small village in Covenwood, Her mother and father seemingly died when she was only 8, and she was raised by her Grandmother, the Village Elder. A bit too quick to cry and run, she was picked on by the other kids, mostly for the fact that she couldn't cast a spell worth a damn. Eventually, around when she was 16, she discovered a somewhat occult book in the basement of the village library, and quickly learned she could cast it, better than her peers could cast things like "Wind" and "Fire." Even thought there were a few mishaps here and there, she'd never killed anything with accidentally hitting them with the dark spell, until...

Additional Notes/Comments:
A good Sacred stones comparison would be like Neimi or Myrrh on her own, and then Ewan or Ross when she warms up, though, she may try to act different if she thinks it'll get a danger away from her...

Name: Maximilian "Max" Silverhand
Age: 22
Homecountry: Lithia
Gender: Male
Height: 6'0"
Build: Sturdy and muscular.

Class: Mercenary
Level: 1

Weapons: Bastard Sword, Sylpheed
Weapon Levels: Swords - D (0/4)

Summary: A wandering mercenary whose passive nature belies a strong sense of duty. His very name claims kinship with John Silverhand, as do many seeking notoriety, but he cares little if others believe him or not. However, he boldly challenges those who would besmirch John's name whether by words or actions. His soft spot for the plight of the common people frequently overpowers his practical outlook on life, and he will go out of his way to aid those he feels deserves a helping hand. Though his demeanor is polite most of the time, he has a sarcastic wit that shows itself whenever he lets his guard down. When he is bothered, his measured, academic tone will slip into vulgar Lithian slang. He is used to traveling alone and will often attempt to solve problems independently, as he was taught to. When he has a chance to better himself, he will pursue it stubbornly.

Appearance: Posted Image

Bio: Max is from a small frontier town in Lithia, though he will not specify which. He claims to be related to John Silverhand and learned how to wield a sword from him. He will not respond when asked of John's whereabouts, or anyone else in his family. If asked more about himself, he will say that he was raised in a loving home in a quiet town that wasn't often bothered by pillagers, and helped raise boars and dogs. His education came from his family, supplemented by a tutor who seldom visited town. He says he felt drawn to swordsmanship and became a mercenary to wander and learn more about the world while honing his skills and protecting others. If asked anything about his sword, he will explain that its name is Sylpheed and it was a gift, but nothing more than that.

Supports:

Additional Notes/Comments: Most can tell that Max is not telling the truth — or at least, the whole truth — about his background, but Max has no qualms proving his trustworthiness and dependability in other ways and remains tight-lipped.

Name: Calista Keno
Age: 18
Homecountry: Kingdom of Sasune
Gender: Female
Height: 4'11
Build: A healthy looking weight, and extremely toned, but no overly defined muscles.

Class: Acolyte
Level: Level 1

Weapons: Light and Force
Weapon Levels: E

Summary:
Calista was born just on the outskirts of the Kingdom of Sasune into a decent family. Due to her upbringing she's rather naive, however that makes her an optimist and full of hope. Because she lived in a more secluded area of the Kingdom she didn't have much opportunity for socialization, though, she really enjoys the company of other people and could be considered outgoing.
Calista was never particularly exposed to or educated on the history of the world, or even the current goings-on, as the majority of her life was spent focused on training. She prefers to keep her distance in combat, finding no benefit to fighting in close quarters.

Appearance: Posted Image

Bio:
18 years ago, Calista Keno was born into this world, and born into expectations. The Keno name was slightly acclaimed in the outer parts of the kingdom, known for their traditions in having the eldest daughter in every other generation be highly trained in magic. As part of her families tradition, she began magic training at a very young age, her grandmother being her teacher while her mother educated her in other fields. She was taught more-so about her family's traditions in magic than about the world surrounding her, leaving her next to clueless on society and the world's history. Her family kept her quite more secluded in her younger years in comparison to her younger siblings, and while this makes her slightly awkward in big social situations, she is outgoing and likes to meet new people.
As per tradition, on her 16th birthday Calista was entrusted with the family's tomes, both a Light and Force tome were given to her to further her training. For the next two years she was taught how to properly wield her natural magic and put it to practical use in her spells. And then her 18th birthday came around. Something her family never told her, was that it was tradition to have the acolyte in training leave the home, and go on a soul searching journey of sorts. After the birthday celebrations, her family then gave her one last week before sending her on her way into the big wide world.

Supports:

Additional Notes/Comments:
Yup, she's short, she gets it, and yes she's really 18.

Name: Lynette Ashborn
Age: 19
Homecountry: The Wildlands (Repose)
Gender: Female
Height: 5'2"
Build: Slim upper body and a wider lower body. Toned from a combination of good genes and a rowdy, active childhood. Modest bust.

Class: Mage
Level: 1

Weapons: Combustion, Dying Blaze
Weapon Levels: Anima Magic - E (0/4)

Summary: A mage with the passion and energy of a roaring flame. She is headstrong and difficult to teach, but once she learns something she's eager to experiment and builds quickly on what she's learned. Despite her haughty tone, it is not difficult to please her; only some tolerance of her antics is required. She greatly enjoys teasing others and is more than willing to push boundaries if she thinks she can get away with it. Although she does not mind being challenged by others, she will become frustrated if she is preached at. Those who earn her ire will find themselves the target of pranks and other kinds of harassment — though one might point out this isn't too different from how she treats her friends. Her mind is slippery and it can be difficult to discern her true feelings through her cheerful and irreverent attitude. She craves intimacy and expects loyalty from her friends — and will return in kind.

Appearance: Posted Image

Bio: The less-discussed daughter of Jack of the Azure Sky and Minette Ashborn, a runaway mage from an esteemed fire clan in the Covenwood. Whereas her elder sister Colette takes after her father, Lynette is her mother's daughter and was even given her mother's maiden name. Unfortunately, Lynette would not know her mother very long, as Minette passed away when Lynette was four years old due to long-lasting complications from childbirth. Lynette was nannied and tutored for her early years, and she was discovered to have an extremely high intellect. Although there was much talk about her attending a prestigious academy in Sasune, instead she never pushed herself beyond the basics and violently refused to be taught further. While most children were in school, she played on the streets of Repose and became a local nuisance with a talent for fire magic. Her father, strangely enough, allowed Lynette her freedom on the condition that she follow the laws — and she did, save a few times she could get away with it.

However, the death of Jack marked a turning point in Lynette's life. She became extremely averse to the clergy and townspeople who had treated her kindly, even lashing out at them. Instead of roaming the streets, she would stay in her mother's study and read. After a fierce argument with Colette, she set out on her own — east, to the Covenwood. Only she knows her mission.

Supports:

Additional Notes/Comments: Lynette continues to avoid the clergy of the Church for reasons known only to her.

Name: Kale Longfield
Age: 29
Homecountry: Lithia
Gender: Male
Height: 6'2"
Build: Fit, but sort of lanky.

Class: Fencer
Level: 3

Weapons: Rapier, Dagger
Weapon Levels: Swords - D (0/4)

Summary: The duke of a small Lithian province who plays at being a dashing rogue. His number one pleasure in life is women and he plays the part of a noble gentleman well. Although he might seem to be the opposite of his cousin Richter at first glance, Kale shares both Richter's ideals of supporting the common folk and his distaste for court affairs — including noblewomen. Even if his reputation among the other dukes and duchesses of Lithia suffers, Kale continues to bring servants into his bedchamber every night and will frequently share hearty feasts with common men and women from his township. He also has a high reputation among the knights and soldiers under his command, as much of Lithia's military comes from a poor background. Although it might seem like he's just playing around with his title, he takes his responsibilities to his people very seriously and has a sharp wit and a sharp blade when push comes to shove.

Appearance: Posted Image

Bio: Kale was the first and only child born to Duke Thomas and Lady Madeline Longfield. His parents' wedding had been arranged between his father and the daughter of a high-ranking official from Cernentia, and there was no love between them. Not long after Kale's birth, Thomas left on summons from the king, leaving Madeline alone to govern the small land of Riverwalk. She would leave Kale's upbringing to the servants and throw extravagant feasts and parties for herself and friends and family she invited from Cernentia — while the whole time the people suffered in poverty. When Thomas returned infrequently from military service, he would do little to help the situation. He was entirely focused on teaching Kale the spear, but Kale had grown up on servants telling tales of dramatic sword duels and flashy rogues. He refused to learn the spear and instead took fencing lessons from soldiers around the castle, earning the ire of his father. Seeing what was happening to his son in his absence, Thomas attempted to have an old friend, Konrad Stonewall, stay at the castle teach him, but Kale still refused. The rest of his childhood would be spent avoiding Konrad's lessons and fawning over the castle attendants.

Eventually, the situation outside the castle turned dire, and it was not long before Lady Madeline perished almost overnight from a sudden illness. Many believed it was the goddess's wrath for such a sinful woman, though some knew it had been poison slipped in by a servant. At the time the King was poised to make Thomas his military confidant — a role that would require him to permanently remain at the King's side. Since Kale was still young and had no experience, it was assumed that Konrad would take over governing the land while Thomas still officially remained as its duke. However, Kale surprised everyone by stepping up and assuming the title of duke. With some interference from the Empire — perhaps as a way to atone for Lady Madeline's presence in the first place — the King formally instated Kale as duke at the age of twenty-four, making him the youngest duke in Lithia's history. Thomas was frustrated with this outcome, but Konrad recognized the boy's dedication and charisma and decided to remain as Kale's advisor and a captain of the Riverwalk guards. The people were reluctant at first, but Kale's fierce rejection of everything Madeline was and his unyielding interest in his people's well-being quickly endeared the people of Riverwalk to the young and handsome lord. Five years have passed, and the town of Riverwalk is prospering while Kale secures important relations with his cousin, Prince Richter of Sasune. Recently Kale's status as a bachelor has been of great interest and discussion by his subjects, and the people are practically throwing their maidens at him — not that the maidens are unwilling, themselves.

Supports:

Additional Notes/Comments: Although he likes all girls, he prefers mature women to young maidens — perhaps as a result of being raised by the castle's servants.

Name: Michael Longfield
Age: 26
Homecountry: Lithia
Gender: Male
Height: 6'6"
Build: Muscular, with a strong core.

Class: Cavalier
Level: 2

Weapons: Spear, Broadsword
Weapon Levels: Swords - E (0/4); Lances - D (0/4)

Summary: Michael is a simple man who likes to smile and laugh. He is modest and treats his past lightheartedly, but although he doesn't mind being called a bastard, he has no problem punching out anyone who dares say anything about his mother. Likewise, he also loves animals and will not suffer someone who disrespects them. Nevertheless, he doesn't hold grudges and is very forgiving of others — perhaps too much so. He can be rash, especially when someone is in danger, and makes decisions without understanding the situation. Because he never received an education, he cannot write and has great difficulties reading. His voice is a smooth baritone, and thickly coated with the accent of his homeland.

Appearance: Posted Image

Bio: Michael was born in a small farming village in Lithia. His mother was a young, unmarried barmaid who did not know who his father was, but still raised Michael lovingly. However, even by Lithia's standards, the two were incredibly poor. Because Michael was big and strong for his age, he got work as a farmhand even though he was just a child. As he grew he took on other tasks, and became well-respected in the village despite being a bastard. His mother was also still popular among bachelors for her beauty, but she never married and always claimed to be waiting for her shining knight.

As Michael grew into a simple and well-mannered adult, his mother fell ill. The priest in the village could not cure her. All Michael could do was watch as his mother wasted away, no matter how hard he worked to raise money for her. Before she died, she revealed to Michael that she did in fact know who his father was: Thomas Longfield, a famed general. His mother's story was that she had known Thomas since they were children, and he had been passing through the village after his marriage to the Lady Madeline. The two reunited and made love, and even though he was bound to another, she swore herself to him and he promised he would return. Thomas didn't even know she had become pregnant. It wasn't long after this story that she perished, and Michael anguished for years in the village. There were village girls who thought to cheer him up, but he refused, unable to even consider romance.

Michael eventually decided that he would find his father. The villagers thought he was insane to believe his mother's tale, but he ventured to his father's land, Riverwalk. There he sought to speak with Thomas, and was promptly laughed out by the castle guards. Stubbornly remaining in Riverwalk, he worked various jobs before becoming a guard. While a guard, he learned of a tourney for prospective knights. Although he had plenty of experience riding horses, he had little experience with weapons. Nevertheless, he registered and easily triumphed over the competition. It was there he boldly claimed the surname of Longfield, and that he wished to speak to Thomas. However, Thomas was not there, having long since been appointed to the king's side. While the other knights saw it as an outrage, Kale calmed them down and listened to Michael's tale. Then, to Michael's surprise, Kale did not laugh or become angry with him. Instead, Kale inducted him as a knight and told him that if he wanted to speak to Thomas, he would best do it as his equal, and work his way through the ranks. Michael accepted this gladly and began training as a knight in earnest. Despite Michael's bold claim, he has become trusted by Kale and the rest of the knights reluctantly consider him a promising rookie with a lot of talent. His tale has become common in the town itself, though a hushed one.

Additional Notes/Comments: Prefers lances to swords. His horse is named Hickory, and is the same horse he's used since departing his village. He often speaks to it.

Name: Richter Vastor
Age: 21
Homecountry: Sasune
Height: 5'10"
Build: Slim, yet sturdy

Class: Mage
Level: 1?

Weapons: Zephyr Strike, Shaver
Weapon Levels: Anima - D (0/4)

Summary: Richter is the crown prince of the kingdom of Sasune. Contrary to his station, Richter prefers not to be held on ceremony outside of court. As such, despite his formal way of speaking to others, he doesn't expect others to change their ways around him. For the most part, Richter is friendly and approachable. He can be rather quiet however, not always being the first person to join a conversation. He can be seen as idealistic due to his kindness and views. Despite this, he's far from naive and is actually quite sharp.

Appearance: Posted Image

Biography: Richter was born in Sasune to Warren and Morgan Vastor. His parents loved him greatly and the feeling was mutual. Growing up, his time was spent with tutors, but his parents still played a large role in his life. It was his parents who taught him the importance of understanding the struggles of the commons; lessons that he took to heart. He had a great passion of learning about the history of the world and as such, he mostly read books in his free time. Despite his prestige, Richter was more at home with the commons. Although his parents were caring, Richter didn't think highly of his extended family. The sole exception was Kale Longfield. Although their personalities clashed at times, usually with Richter's exasperation at Kale's philandering ways, the two nobles were close mainly due to their shared beliefs and values.

Unfortunately, Richter was forced to take the throne at a young age after the mysterious deaths of his parents. Having seen their bodies not long after they were slain, Richter was adversely affected by the event. Although he was initially against taking the throne, the lessons his parents taught him made him change his mind after a period of reflection. However anguished he felt over his parents, he knew there were others whose very livelihoods were fraught with hardship he could never truly understand. Vowing to be a ruler for those who struggled, Richter became a prince whose policies often drew the praise of the commons and some of the nobles. However, his beliefs did clash with the factions more loyal to the Empire...

Additional notes and comments: Although Richter has moved past his parents' demise, that doesn't mean he's completely over it, which can manifest itself in different ways.

Name: Guinevere "Jenna" Edwards
Age: 18
Homecountry: The Wildlands (Repose)
Gender: Female
Height: 5'0"
Build: Slim and flexible. Flat chest, but not completely lacking in curves.

Class: Cleric
Level: 1

Weapons: Heal, Torch, Replenish
Weapon Levels: Staff - E (0/4)

Summary: A plucky cleric who makes a business out of helping others. As the daughter of the Guildmaster of Edwards Trade, she has been exposed to her father's work from a young age and — unlike her brother — takes an active interest in her father's enterprises while also following the will of Aria. She optimistically believes the two institutions can work together for the betterment of everyone on the continent, but often struggles with her status as an outlier in both: as an advocate of foreign aid and education, she has few allies in the Guild besides her father, while her ideas of a profitable Church frequently bring her into conflict with her associates in the clergy. As a healer, she believes in equal trade: every time she uses her staff she requires some sort of payment, whether it's a bit of gold or a small favor owed. When representing the Guild or the Church she is professional and polite, but otherwise she is a trendy young woman who dotes on her friends and family. She has a strong tendency to nose her way into others' business, out of both financial and personal curiosity.

Appearance: Posted Image

Bio: Jenna was born to Antony and Sibyl Edwards, alongside her twin brother Lloyd. Both children were sent to Sasune for their education. Jenna was not naturally gifted like her brother was, and struggled greatly to do well in academics. It was during her schooling that she was introduced to the Church of Aria, and became interested in their ideology. By the time she graduated and returned to Repose, she wanted to join the clergy of the New Church. Not one to expect special treatment because of her family or status, Jenna originally entered training as an acolyte because of her familiarity with the runic language studying in Sasune, but became a cleric after discovering she had a talent for using the Goddess's Sight — an ability attributed to clerics.

Jenna quickly assumed the role as one of the primary liaisons between the Edwards Trade Guild and the New Church of Aria, helping maintain a friendly relationship between the two groups sharing the same home. She negotiated the construction of a new orphanage in Repose while also planning future orphanages to be constructed in the New Church's missions in other regions. However, her ambitious nature alarmed her superiors in both groups. Fearing she was prematurely taking on too much responsibility, her agency was limited by none other than her father, and for the first time she felt that her determination had worked against her. Electing to take a vacation, she slipped out of Repose one night — on a caravan heading east. She intended to spend some time in Sasune, but was distracted when her eyes met with a couple of her fellow travelers'.

Supports:

Additional Notes/Comments: Proficient at using Goddess's Sight, which allows her to briefly sense a person's thoughts and emotions whenever they look her in the eye.

Still a Witch Doctor

This idea is still a little too underdeveloped to really post in the character topic, but I'd like to get down some notes for him.

Name: Tyree Montresor
Age: 33
Home Country: Cernetia Empire
Gender: male
Height: 5.7
Build: slight, but wiry
Class: Thief
Level: 1 (I'd like for him to be an enemy unit at first)
Weapon: Dagger
Weapon Level: E
Summary: an ambitious and cunning politician who is head of a lower-ranking family in the Cernetia Empire. Claims absolute loyalty to the Emperor, but works in the shadows. Rarely does his own dirty work.
Appearance: a wiry man with long black hair and cutting blue eyes. Has an unmistakable air of pretentiousness, but is at the same time world-weary. Dresses in various disguises. Inspiration: Legault from Blazing Sword.
Bio: Tyree is the head of the Montresor family, famous in the empire for its loyalty to the emperor. Their history is poorly recorded, perhaps intentionally. They were always highly involved in the politics of the empire, with several famous lawmakers among them. Montresor names are attached to all of the strictest laws of the empire, and they were credited with pushing past emperors to maintain an iron grip on vassals and holdings. Montresors are thus widely derided as hardliners in the government who support to-the-letter interpretations of imperial law--all, they say, so they can maintain their flimsy amount of power among the emperor's advisors. As a publicly loyalist family, they often have the emperor's ear, and though they rarely disagree with imperial rule, they are known to work quite cleverly to eliminate competitors. Their family motto is famous: "No one attacks me with impunity."
Tyree himself grew up in relative isolation in imperial schools. He was an early loner and bookworm who was always overlooked by the physicality and talent of his younger brother Tyrone, a skilled swordsman who used his family's name to become a decorated soldier (and assassin) for the empire. Tyree, in contrast, dedicated himself to scholarship and, after becoming head of his family, rose to a position as one of the emperor's advisors. Cunning and ambitious, he gained a reputation for manipulation and ruthlessness in securing the empire's wealth. As an advisor, he was most regarded for his knowledge of the empire's trading assets, and for promoting the high literacy levels enjoyed by the empire.
Many see him as a corrupt advisor, but he has survived the foresight of the emperor's Eyes of Aria, leading many to wonder if his loyalty is in fact genuine, or if he has some way of avoiding accountability for his more unscrupulous actions. Or, perhaps, given his family's lower status compared to others in the imperial hierarchy, some wonder if his actions are merely the norm among a class of nobles who compete for the emperor's favor. In any case, Tyree is not one to voice his ambitions, and for all anyone knows, he merely wishes to maintain the strength of the empire...and the power of his family in the imperial system.
Unlike some nobles, he believes that a strong, stable Lithia is better for the empire than a crumbling state torn apart by disputes between heirs, and is interested in securing stability, though his opinion of the Lithian royal family is uncertain.

Loodness overload

Name: Lenaliel
Age: 19
Homecountry: Wildlands
Gender: Female
Height: 5'5"
Build: Lenaliel is rather well-endowed, much to her dismay. While many women would love to have as fine a figure as Lenaliel, she finds it 'unknightly', and a source of embarrassment.

Class: Soldier
Level: 1

Weapons: Choose weapons that your character's class can use from here here.
Weapon Levels: E rank Lances

Summary: Lenaliel is a kind knight who always strives to do her best in protecting others. Her sincerity and optimism, combined with her desire to help others, makes her well liked by many. In a fight, she primarily tries to fight defensively, only using violence as a last resort. However, she can sometimes be a bit naive, and her attempts to help out can be seen as being gullible. While optimistic, she has a slightly different opinion about herself: She has a habit of blaming herself for the little things that go wrong, even if it resulted in some good. A fan of gardening, Lenaliel tends to a small garden she's planted near where she lives.

Appearance:
Spoiler: click to toggle

Bio: Lenaliel is the daughter of Khalan, a hero within the Church known posthumously as the 'Red Saint'. A healer of great skill, Khalan helped the banished Church survive as they went through the Wildlands. Putting others above himself, he used his healing magic to save many lives even as his increasingly wounded body fell apart. Near the end, it was said he'd bled so much that his very skin had become red. Upon reaching their destination, Khalan quietly died, content that he'd helped to save so many.

With Khalan dead, Lenaliel's mother left shortly after her birth. For reasons of her own, she left the infant Lenaliel in the hands of the new Church before departing to her homeland. As such, Lenaliel was placed in an orphanage built at their destination: Repose. Growing up in Repose, Lenaliel dreamed from an early age of becoming a knight of the Church.

Years later, Lenaliel ended up meeting Colette. Passing by a robbery, Lenaliel was quick to act: Although young and unarmed, Lenaliel rushed in to help. Using a lid as a makeshift shield, she managed to waylay the criminal long enough for him to be captured. Meeting a knight of the Church, Lenaliel excitedly explained the the older woman how she wanted to be a knight like her when she was older, and like her father. Discovering that Lenaliel was the daughter of Khalan, Colette told Lenaliel that she might very well fufill her dream...

And so, Lenaliel trained hard. Determined to help people like her father did. While she had little aptitude in healing magic, her instead focused on her natural skill with the shield. The second she was of age, she rushed to enlist into the Church! However, she was met with a surprise: The Church was willing to simply... let her in, in light of her father's service. After some thought, Lenaliel decided against this: As much as she wanted to help people, she needed to be sure she was ready. Instead Lenaliel went through the regular channels, and prepared for the competition the Church used to initiate new knights. As the day drew closer, Lenaliel was nowhere to be found, though...

When the day of the completion came, Lenaliel returned. Having spent her time gathering the ingredients for Glimmergold to honor the old traditions, she arrived on the day of the competition clad in glimmergold armor. This action causes quite a stir, with some considering her to make a mockery of the old ways, while others saw it as an attempt to live up to them. Doing admirably in the tournament, Lenaliel managed to win her final match using only her shield, having been disarmed earlier in the match. However, those who disliked her actions with the Glimmergold used this as a chance to have her disqualified.

However, Colette spoke up on Lenaliel's behalf, and the young woman was able to become a knight of the Church. Lenaliel proved to be a rather admirable knight, her friendly demeanor and hard-working nature making her plenty of friends. Although given the chance to advance in the ranks, Lenaliel preferred to stay as a simple soldier on patrol duty. One day, Colette came to her with a special mission: Travel to the Covenwood and find the missing Lynette.

Additional Notes/Comments:

-Lena is cute as h*ck
-Believing one should get the best sleep they can when they have the chance, Lenaliel's most expensive belonging is a bed.
-Lenaliel has a fondness for strawberries.
