Recently, the State Department of the US government set a warning to all out of nation travellers about a possible terririst attack. They did not attack that day. If they did what places do you think they would attack, and why do you think they would choose that place? |

I don't believe Terrorists have the capacity to attack the US anymore, unless of course they are home grown. Europe is a more likely target, somewhere in Germany or France perhaps. Actually I'm betting on France what with the recent Burqa thing and anti-Muslim sentiment that seems to be originating there. However it's simply to hard to do. If there was a terrorist attack against the first world it would be there, but it's extremely unlikely. If you mean the entire world, then I'm thinking Pakistan. It has one every week... |

Yea, I was thinking about most first world countries... US, China, UK, France, Germany... I think that they may try to destroy the Eiffel tower.... It seems like a target that would sentimentally hurt lots of people... |

An attack on the Eiffel tower would not only hurt French pride, but also kill a lot of international tourists. So it's a big target for Terrorists. Oh and China is not a first world country. First world economy, third world everything else. |

I am against the use of terms such as First, second, and third world. None of them have anything to do with economic development. They are Cold War terms used to describe who sided where in the cold war, and therefore are inappropriate terms for modern times. But moving back to the topic, here in Mexico we have adopted a sort of alert such as the ones the US state department uses. Currently, we also have an alert to avoid travel to all of Europe. They especially emphasize to avoid travel to France, Germany, and the UK. All of which are the economic capitals of Europe. However I seriously doubt that that any terrorist attacks would happen in Europe anytime soon. I am willing to bet that any terrorist organization would more than likely use a threat to one country, to distract the world from an attack on another country. It makes no sense to me to publish covert plans, and expect them to go about flawlessly. I am willing to bet that if there is an attack, it will be somewhere unexpected. |

Yes, because if you surprise everyone and attack Belarus you'll really get your message of hate across... Fact is, these big European nations are the 'enemies' of these terrorists. Thus they are targets. Plus it won't be like 9/11. It would be by home-grown terrorists. But this is all hypothetical, it probably won't happen at all. |

I'm just saying, that if they do attack in Europe, their going to do it where it is least likely expected. I wouldn't be surprised if the terrorists announced an attack on Paris, and then turn right around and attack London or Rome. Terrorists aren't exactly known for their brutal honesty
