Get yer hats yer scarfs yer flags yer macaroon bars :scarf: .... ok maybe not the banners

We should be talking about what players will start what sort of performance , be it the scintillating display at Tynecastle or some of the dire stuff fans have been treated to

This is all overshadowed by how fans are treated by police & stewards ...... the weather , time of year , standard of football but more importantly & worryingly of all is the idea that football and in particular the GB are the modern day NUM and are to be monitored , filmed , stopped & searched , intimidated , hassalled , refused entry to the ground or county , arrested for the flimsy of reasons

On the pitch ? ...... well am fed up asking to see Balde ... while I want us to win would the introduction of Balde weaken us soooo much ? Lennon will know if Samaras & Ledley are off in January or the summer so why play them every week when it,ll be other first team squad players who,ll line up in our CL qualifiers ?

Hopefully a good entertaining game that we win with the Celtic supporters in good voice with unseasonably warm temperatures

Flags & banners are now allowed apparently ..... dont know if banners celebrating James Connolly or other revolutionaries will be permitted .... dont know if the flag of Anthony Stokes' birthplace will be allowed

Obviously certain songs wont be tolerated ..... cant have the good citizens of Perthshire , radio listeners & Sky viewers having their turkey sarnies ruined by hearing songs that have no part to play in a post GFA/Berlin Wall/Mandela age

Look forward to seeing/hearing the St Johnstone fans showing solidarity with the attacks on fellow fans by the State

Celtic full-back Adam Matthews has recovered from a fever and Tom Rogic has trained after recovering from a calf complaint.
But Charlie Mulgrew, Dirk Boerrigter, Mikael Lustig, Beram Kayal and Steven Mouyokolo remain out.

Police stopping buses heading to the game, so make sure you get your buckfast down ye!.. :D

MON the Hoops, let's make a flag day of it, and hump them..... :scarf:

Well our Dutch master has been threatening to score a goal like that for long & weary  .... imperious strolling through the opposition a la George Connelly or Beckanbaur

Sadly the other 89 minutes was dire .... Brown was industrious ... Izzy was good except when he tried to dribble out his own box :wallbash:

To see Stokes receive a throw in just inside their half wtf !!!!! .... Samaras was .... a could analyse his contribution but tbh a cant be arsed ... he wasnt what I expect a first team Celtic player to be ..... his hunger & desire has gone

what the fuck is the point of giving Balde 5 minutes  ..... start him ... give him a second half or sell him ..... what does 5 minutes tell Lennon or his backroom staff

As far as festive televisual entertainment goes that game was between the queens speech & Jonathon Ross' 1000 greatest gadgets

The Big Dutch man had a blinder, But the same problems stood out once again, No creativity in Midfield, Lacking any control of the ball, And very lightweight up front... :( Once agin Pukki's confidence has been shattard sitting on the bench, Score one week then get dropped the next... :???:

Great goal from van Dijk, clearly the best thing we have seen in a Celtic shirt for years, and I will be in utter shock if we see him at Celtic Park for more than a couple of years. The lad will play in a side that competes for the CL year on year if he continues playing like this, a genuine class act. I think he has done wonders for a defence that contains Ambrose and has had a calming effect on him, it has the making of a genuine centre half pairing. Izaguirre as well looks to be improving and getting a good consistent run of form.

On to the rest. What can I say that hasn't been said already? Balde... what is the point? He at least has a box presence and if you get the crosses in, I am sure he will provide something good for the side. Stokes was dreadful yesterday, there are times when he and Commons simply do not work and why Lennon persisted with him on the park for so long was a mystery to me. There were times I found myself shouting at the screen for Lennon to bring on Balde and then thought... "what's the point" when I saw him emerge with 5 minutes left.

Good win though, considering we haven't taken full points there for a couple of years but really, there has to be something that can be done with the squad at hand.

Oh and still not convinced at all about Biton. Will say this, he wasn't all that bad in his last outing (for 45 minutes) but if we are going for young players, then we have someone just as good on loan at Kilmarnock at the moment in Jackson Irvine, who has always looked neat and tidy when I have seen him play. The central midfield area is just devoid of anything remotely creative and looks bereft of confidence since their no-show performance in Barcelona. Brown at the minute is back to the type of performance we saw from him on a regular basis a couple of years ago (simply not good enough) and Ledley is at his best when there is movement in front of him, something that the forward players have been neglecting to provide for a few weeks now. Hopefully this is all temporary.

On the plus side, that is yet another clean sheet, which is pleasing but really speaking when your most creative player is at centre half and you only look like scoring when he takes the ball on a run from inside his own half, then there are some fundamental problems at the moment.

ICT should be interesting. Pukki and Balde? Hopefully. Realistically? Not a chance.
