Well done Pukki. :thumb up:

Again, the midfield was anonymous, I struggle to see what any of them bring to the game at the moment, and the best players were the back four. Something needs to be done to lift the club at the moment.

Really pleased for Pukki but would like to see him up front with Balde for a wee run of games. What is there to lose?

Lustige & Izzy were terrific ..... it was too much like the home game v Aberdeen coupla weeks ago when we dominated then they scored ..... was dreading every time in the second half when they charged at us with 5 players in our box at times :nervous:

Free kicks were awful  .... love the way footballers place the ball .... pick the ball up ... replace the ball ... pull their socks up .... clean the mud off boots ..... talk to mate .... pick up the ball .... replace the ball ..... wait for central defenders to take their place in opponents penalty box .... look at referee .... understand that its a direct free kick ..... then walk VERY deliberately backwards ..... assume a Johnny Wilkinson pose .... step to the left/right ....... walk purposefully towards the correctly/precisely placed ball ...... then .....

Hit the fekin ball straight at the defensive wall

Reading reports on HB & KDS about Celtic fans being denied access to Celtic Park & others being chucked out while some left in protest at this ..... wont comment till its confirmed

Absolute respect to the Tims who went to the game in the foulest of weather after the midweek shambles whilst their other halves were trying to drag them round Sauchiehall/Argylle Street / out of town shopping mall ( fekin mall  )

Why doesnt Neil play Balde ? ..... if Pukki had a slight strain so was subbed so be it but if he wasnt why not see how the two combine ? ..... I,m assuming Pukki & Balde will be Celtic players next season Samaras' may not

I think Biton will be a very good player at the moment he appears to be playing in Brown/Commons shadow in terms of being the go to guy but i think he,ll become more authoritive the more he plays

The conditions were fierce yesterday so hopefully we,ll see a return to the free flowing football asap but the way the team was set out didnt look like we intended to play as we did v Hertz

Agreed about Balde Caesar, I can't figure it out myself. One thing we had yesterday, and have had in recent weeks is plenty of balls in from the flanks, and the one thing that is missing is a striker who can use his head to good effect, something that particularly Celtic need, when confronted with sides who are happy to flood the box with defenders and play deep. Perhaps Balde has a way to go to develop that side of his game, but this is the time to give him the opportunity, with a healthy lead in the league and no more European involvement.

Perhaps Lennon knows something we don't, but from what I have seen the raw potential is there, he is powerful, physically in very good shape and has an eye for goal.

As for Biton, I hope you are right, but at the moment, the worrying thing for me is his poor choice of pass. I generally give players up to a year to settle into the unique phenomenon that is the SPL, with its weather, dodgy pitches, greatly contrasting conditions from week to week, going from Celtic Park to other grounds, and the tactics employed by the opposition, but the one problem I have with Biton is his use of the ball. I think he will get away with it in the SPL, but in Europe, which is where we surely should be signing players for, he has looked slow, in body and mind, certainly nothing better than what we already have at the club.

Again, I hope he comes good, but if this CL campaign told us anything, it is that we can't keep the ball, and when we do, there is nothing up front by way of options. All our new signings have to address these problems, I don't think any of them have this season.

The Celtic support and the negativity surrounding the club at the moment will have its favourites and its boo boys, for now, Biton is a favourite, and he will need as much of that goodwill as he can in order to settle into the side. When his bubble bursts (and with the current state of affairs, that might not be too far away) then who knows what will happen.

One of the appeals of Celtic must surely be playing in front of massive, vocal crowds, but thanks to the way things have been handled of late (fault on all sides), it will be harder to attract people, and harder to keep good players. The entire atmosphere is toxic at the moment, and I can't see a corner being turned unless the PLC sort their act out, and I can't see that happening until things get much worse. Do they not remember that the very reason for the existence is the groundswell of discontent from the support? I think they would be wise to know their history. They came to power via this route and they might suffer significant damage via the same in the months to come. :(
