For me Balde & Pukki should change the former starting and the latter on the bench , I think Balde is more of a counter attacking forward I don't think we,ll have enough possession in Amsterdam for Pukkis type of game I,m afraid yer only as good as yer last game Balde scored so imo he deserves to keep his place don't want to knock Pukkis confidence but players must/should understand that needs must ..... would it be possible to play like an away team v Utd today ? ...... give them the ball in their half with Balde through the middle Stokes between the midfield & him .... if Samaras' injury is still a bit delicate then leave him out If Commons is fit give him the last 20 minutes , give Kayal & Ledley full games .... the back four is a given Brown is out for Amsterdam so should we leave him out & play the team that will start v Ajax injuries allowing ? Looking forward to todays game Edited by Caesar, Nov 2 2013, 10:24 AM.

Forster, Fisher, Ambrose, Van Dijk, Izzy, Forrest, Brown, Ledley, Mulgrew, Stokes and Balde. Subs:Zaluska, Kayal, Pukki, Lustig; Boerrigter, Biton and Rogic. Yip ok with that team give Boerrigter/Kayal/Pukki 30 minutes |

Quite brutal stuff today, Poor in every part of the field, Take it to many minds on the Ajax game on wed night.. Big Charlie Mulgrew with a great header at the death, Was deserved for the efforts near the end, but to much poor passing and minds wondering off to another place today.Only other good thing, Ajax lost at home today 0-1.....

Respect to the thousands of hardy souls who turned out on a typical autumnal Glasgow Saturday afternoon ..... sounded awful with very little imagination or creativity on display to give the punters something to cheerDundee Utd are a very good team on the pitch with a good coaching team off I usually think we,ll score when we,re looking for a winner or equaliser but not today didn't even think we,d create a chance ..... heres hoping the New Firm of Dundee Utd & Aberdeen go on getting better an stronger Why did Stokes stay on when we could,ve got a glimpse of Pukki & Balde ... is it always going to be Pukki or Balde that get hooked regardless how Stokes is performing Was Fisher injured ? |

Not a very good performance but a really good intervention at the end there by Mulgrew to save the domestic unbeaten record. I think it comes down to the balance of the midfield, it doesn't fire when we are at home and don't have Commons in the side, something the side is clearly lacking at the minute. I thought Stokes would have taken over his role, and to some extent he did, but it left Balde alone up front for large periods and that is something you don't want to happen when teams play deep against us at home. I was surprised Kayal didn't start as he has been on a good run of form of late and you just want to see him build on that, but perhaps there were other factors for his omission. Other than that, I thought Stokes had a whole host of chances that he might have taken any other day so we were well worth the point. That said, Dundee Utd missed a sitter of epic proportions. All about Ajax anyway and I hope there is something in the tank for a make or break Wednesday night. C'mon the Celtic.
