James Forrest and Charlie Mulgrew are fitness concerns for Celtic and may join Derk Boerrigter and Kris Commons on the sidelines.
Beram Kayal and Mikael Lustig are expected to shrug off knocks and Scott Brown returns from a European ban.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon: "It is a derby and I haven't had one of them for a while so I am looking forward to it.
"I could literally walk to the stadium from the house - but I'm not going to, obviously.
"I am sure it will be a full house and a cracking atmosphere.
"Thistle have been excellent. I watched them against Hibs and they were very unfortunate not to get at least a point and they had a brilliant result (a 2-1 win at Inverness) last week.
"Their style of football is very pleasing on the eye."

Quite looking forward to this one.... :ynwa:

0-1 Half Time, big Sammy with the goal.

Pretty good first half, been in control from the off, Created good chances, Wee Pukki should of taken at least one of his 2 chances, More of the same second half Celtic please.... :ynwa:

Also Credit Partick, When they get on the ball they like to keep it down and play, None off this hoofing garbage. :D

Really pleased with the result. I thought that some parts of the performance were very good and others very bad but on the whole, 3 points after a tough midweek European game, and another goal from big Amido Balde, so not bad for a day's work. :thumb up:

I was impressed by Partick and think they will do well in this league trying to play good football and giving it a go with a great deal of heart. I think any side that is that patient with the ball will have a period in the game where they will create chances and they had about 10 minutes in the first half and quite a bit of the second, so fair play to them. The conditions weren't very good for football and you could see both sides struggling. I have no idea why they have a pitch with one side open but I suppose that is the SPFL for you.

Celtic should have been clear by 2 or 3 in the first half and I hope Pukki finds his shooting boots soon as when he does, he is going to score a barrel load of goals for this team. Contrast him to Balde and you can see Lennon's dilemma at the moment, one striker with good build up play who can't find the back of the net at the moment, and the other who has a lot to develop in his all round game, but is so forceful and determined when he is in on goal, it is a genuine joy to watch him. His goal was terrific today, everything you want from a striker, and something no one else in the Celtic team seems to have at the moment. When they develop the rest of his game, he is going to be a massive handful for any defence.

Midfield was good and balanced today as well, Ledley creeping more into his game, Kayal building on his recent form, some good forward play from him to add to a good defensive performance and Brown being his usual self.

As for the defence, Izaguirre and van Dijk were both superb again, Lustig on good form for the most part, and then there was Ambrose.... :hmmm: He does some really good things, and usually makes a stupid mistake every now and then, but today he did a few of them and was bailed out quite well. To me, he just looked mentally tired, understandable given the hectic schedule. I still think he is the right man for the job alongside van Dijk. Today the movement wasn't all that great in front of him and that left him having to take another touch and get into trouble. Credit to Partick for closing as high as they did. Well done to Forster for doing his bit as well.

Samaras was good today when he was in the mood, and I hope he gets that gash seen to quickly.

Man of the match for me was between Stokes and Izaguirre, with the Honduran shading it on sheer bravery, with some excellent tackles, and good forward play. Stokes though played very well and can be proud of his performance.

Well done Celtic, a week to get back fit again for another tough week of football, Dundee Utd, Ajax and then Ross County away. Full points sets up the season beautifully. :huddle:

Thought the conditions were soooooo Scottish - wind , rain , sunshine , rain+sunshine

Great to see Balde get that goal .... Pukki is a very good player but seems to do a lot of his best work outside the box a la Samaras & Stokes Thistle have been a good addition to the SPL

Lets get as many players match fit for Amsterdam
