Managed to catch the last couple of minutes of the game only, so very pleased we squeaked through.

Lennon said the pitch was awful, so I suppose it is no surprise we ended up not scoring, though we had a couple of good opportunities. The minor miracle was that we managed to keep a clean sheet. :thumb up:

Heard from someone else that Bangura pretty much had Ambrose in his pocket the entire game, which shows three things, that he is not that bad a player, that Ambrose has a lot to learn in terms of playing his position and that Celtic fans need to wake up and stop giving players an extra incentive to play well against Celtic.

I will admit to being slightly disenchanted with our "best support in the world" of late, far too much scapegoating, writing players off before giving them time to settle, the seemingly incessant need for a boo boy, and a startling lack of solidarity when it comes to the way the Green Brigade have been dealt with. I think many of the supporters need to catch a grip and learn what supporting a team actually entails, and Celtic in particular. More and more we seem to be forgetting that there are real roots of the underdog in the history of this football club, irrespective of the performances on the park. The way the club are going about things belies a total lack of understanding of what needs to be done to go forward together.

Health status...

The football side of things: Young, most marketable players being sold off every year, massive squad turnaround all led by a young manager still learning his trade.

The non playing side of the club: Flush with money and there is not much else they seem to care about, dealing from a position of strength thanks to the CL position and a successful financial strategy (less dependent on the paying support than at any other time in the club's history).

The supporters: As divided as they have ever been, some political and others strongly apolitical, some more concerned with marketing than the marketing people who run the club, some still supporters and some with the expectations of being customers.

Overall: as unhealthy as things have been for years, despite a time of footballing and financial dominance.

No sense in resting on laurels, it needs to be onwards and upwards across the board for this football club. With the environment Celtic play in, the heart and soul of the club needs to be strong.

Onto the next edge of your seats qualifier to a competition we should by virtue of being champions qualify for before runners up or 3rd and 4th placed teams in more illustrious leagues. Won't start on that one again.

Come on the Celts. :ynwa:

I thought we were rotten last night with too many basic mistakes , even taking into account the fact that the plastic pitch was poor ( code for not to our liking ) ...... too many invisible players that you,d never think they were playing for the right to share a pitch with Real Madrid etc

The glaringly obvious absence of creativity was painfull with us be laborious , predictable ... oh for a Naka :( .... they were very ordinary we wont get away with a performance like last night v a better team in the next qualifier .... what is the Hampden roar with Balde ?

Will our 2 Dutchmen be fit for the next qualifier ? ..... regardless we must buy and buy quality players who will be first team players

FF not named in the Ingerlund squad ? ......... god forbid he copies Hoopers reasoning :nervous:

Last night was horrible to watch
